Rules-based international order baybeeee Remember, they only used to keep a spare, incompetent, criminal president when it was the *extremist* Venezuelans. Now they do it to pliant, “let’s go into Haiti together” Lula!
As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States. The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio . From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.

Michael is it coincidence that a person very close to you has been busted for CSAM material at the same time as you’ve become much more loudly and explicitly pro-Israel and virulently, unasked-for Zionist? You were always a racist neocon but this is suspiciously *focused*

This story is not getting enough attention, even though it is a dark portent of the political repression on the horizon all around the NATO bloc. Five activists who damaged an Elbit Systems site in Ulm, Germany, are facing harsher treatment than the Reichsbürger, a far-right group accused of attempting to overthrow the German state by force. The two trials are being held in the same building. The Ulm5 are held in a maximum-security prison, marched into the courtroom in handcuffs, and seated behind bulletproof glass two meters tall. On day one, the judge switched off the microphones of the defence’s legal team, and has since repeatedly refused to hear their evidence and expert witnesses, while rejecting a motion for an independent stenographer to keep a record of the proceedings. The only written record of the trial is the judge's. Meanwhile, the Ulm5 all remain in prolonged detention — with stints in solitary confinement. The prosecution is seeking to argue that the attack was antisemitic in nature, as Elbit Systems is a “Jewish-owned company” and therefore the “baby killers” graffiti drawn by the activists amounts to blood libel. The case sets a chilling precedent for any actions taken against German militarism, and no doubt forms part of a wider arc of repression that now extends from Britain to Italy. That is why the activists’ call for international solidarity and support is so urgent.

Seems pretty obvious already that the "Claude hacked an election database" story yesterday was a seed that the Trump admin is going to rapidly cultivate into a justification for invalidating any unfavorable results that roll through Tuesday. Dario, Altman, Thiel, all in on it.

I have literally spent the last month trekking around Jordan interviewing elderly Nakba survivors and hearing their harrowing stories- and just completed a three hour video interview on Saturday night. No one I talked to left before multiple neighbours or family members had been shot and killed. Few of them had any weapons of any sort to protect themselves and if they did they were ancient Turkish muskets. Their opponents were armed with modern, newly-imported Czech rifles and many had been trained and drilled by the British. It became simply suicidal to remain, though many old people tried to so. The guy I interviewed on Saturday fled with his mother after their village was bombed. Their father remained and was loaded onto a truck to Gaza, at gunpoint, by the Haganah. Many of the family members that remained in Gaza have been killed in the last two years

Extremely obvious that this will be enforced immediately against pro-Palestine protesters on the basis that Zionists will claim to have felt "distress" and "alarm".
🚨 NEW: Respect Orders are now live across England and Wales People who cause harassment, alarm or distress to others can receive bans from town centres, anger management courses or unlimited fines Anyone who breaches an Order can be arrested and jailed for up to 2 years

Conditions in Gaza are getting worse & worse, and winter is approaching. We have a responsibility to our friends in Gaza, so please help Maher and his family if you can.
Friends, we are in dire need of your help. I don’t want to beg, but I truly hope you can assist us in any way you can. We really need your support before winter begins.🥹😔💔💔 @Tom_Gann @Devon_OnEarth @pippa21336 @WilksBecca

Just taken my 105 year old mother to vote in the Israeli elections. A bit deaf, she bellowed out from inside the booth “Which one of them going to wipe out Amalek?” Everyone in the polling station replied together “All of them!” The whole place burst into cheer and song 🙏

I hate it when I am trying to search and rescue a lost hiker and he keeps frantically running from cover to cover in a dense forest area, trying his hardest to avoid my helping drone and prolong his suffering out of pure instinct
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

We will accept nothing less than lifting the blockade on Yemen, ending the Saudi aggression and occupation of Yemen, respecting Yemen's sovereignty, and compensating for all the damage caused by the Saudi war on Yemen. Secondly, if Saudi Arabia wants peace, it should negotiate with Sana'a, not with Iran or any other country. Thirdly, we are a state, a people, an army, a government, and a leadership; we are not merely a group, a party, or a sect for you to call us Houthis. We are Yemen, and Saudi Arabia has been waging war on Yemen for 12 years.

Despite how happy I am for Brazil, the hypocrisy of the international applause is hard to ignore. The same actors cheering Lula’s 4th term called Chávez a dictator for it and vilified PSUV for “human rights abuses” while turning a blind eye to Lula’s troops committing rape and war crimes in Haiti. Lula is afforded their sympathy because he maintained neoliberal economics, played nice with Noboa and Jolani, blocked Venezuela from BRICS, and aligned with U.S. intervention abroad. This election result is, without a doubt, a victory for the sovereignty of Latin America against egregious election interference. But not all those applauding are cheering for our sovereignty. And, as yet another Latin American country joins U.S. mercenaries in Haiti, it’s pretty gross that certain ‘human rights activists’ (especially the Latin American pachamama libs) ignore the stain on humanity that was MINUSTAH simply because it was in service of the U.S. interests.

Wheat, yeast, and a little water. Kneaded, shaped, and baked over an open flame into a perfectly sized, crispy loaf. Something so simple has become the foundation of survival in Gaza. Help here: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… For families enduring genocide, bread has been more than food. It has been the one thing keeping hunger at bay when everything else is scarce or unaffordable. From dough to oven to distribution, follow the journey of a loaf through The Sameer Project bakery and into the hands of families who depend on it. Help us keep the ovens burning and bread reaching those who need it! Flour prices are rising but for now daily operations at our bakery cost around $1,050. Help us sustain these costs to provide free bread to those in need. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")

If liberalism had actual values it would be able apply them consistently in different contexts. Liberalism seems to be about contingently embracing conflicting ideas by flattening them completely and is ultimately deferent to capital and authority so can eject them at any time.
You can't reason with the sort of mentality demonstrated by people like Yglesias. He clearly believes national interests are limited to boundaries and the planetary eco system really shouldn't be anyone's business, let alone the wellbeing of indigenous ppl, species etc
