About that @Dave_Eby … ⬇️
Replying to @vesperdigital
David Eby was fine in the polls until land right ownership became a big question mark in British Columbia.
Businesses were turned away from loans, mortgage renewals were getting denied and he started to plummet in the polls.
John rustad was removed as leader of the BC conservatives which kept Eby in the lead. After a very long leadership race Kerry Lynn Findly takes over and immediately surges up past David Eby, which is when liberal media attacks started.
At least three to four members of the BC conservatives started leaking internal talks meeting information caucus secrets to the liberal media and to NDP insiders to sabotage Kerry. This activity is a criminal jailable offense in America. Kerry endures attacks from within her own party for 4 months, alleged blackmail alleged extortion. She drew the line after they started going after her family.
David Eby was salivating over this implosion and was getting ready to call an election expecting to be fighting Kerry and going to paint her as a pro-trump extreme far right leader but she resigned.
Instead of thinking for 2 seconds and reassessing the landscape the NDP would be going against an unknown leader they decided to try to take advantage that there was no leader of the conservatives. Lorne Doerkson is installed as leader and Eby's attack plan no longer worked. The conservative numbers go back up to what they were when Kerry took over and they win the election. British Columbians were desperate for change as the land right issues are starting to destroy the province from the inside out.

LET'S GO, Delta South! 🗳️
Polls are open until 8 p.m. tonight. If you haven't voted yet, go now.
End land acknowledgements. Vote Jim McMurtry, OneBC.
OneBC!
You won’t hear the @bcndp @Dave_Eby talking about this ⬇️⬇️ He is busy doing back room deals with the indigenous and secretly handing land and taxpayers money over to them. A vote for the NDP is a vote for British Columbians to continue losing their private property rights.

OneBC! Riverview Institution for the Mentally Ill ~ Dallas does a site visit and wonders why it has been closed and what is going on there now. It is pretty disgusting how so many people who were not fit to take care of themselves were discharged from the facility years ago.
A quick Grok search reveals the following:
The former Riverview Institution (Riverview Hospital) site in Coquitlam has been claimed by the Kwikwetlem First Nation (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm), and the provincial government has entered into partnership arrangements recognizing their role, though the full property has not been transferred outright as sole ownership for exclusive development.
Key facts:
•Claim: In 2014 the Nation asserted Aboriginal title interests over the Riverview lands. In 2016 they filed a formal Aboriginal title claim in B.C. Supreme Court covering the ~244-acre Riverview site plus other public lands in the area (including the Colony Farm Forensic Psychiatric Hospital site, ƛ̓éxətəm/Colony Farm Regional Park, Gates Park, and related Port Coquitlam/Coquitlam public parcels). The claim covers only public/Crown land, not private residential property.
•Status of the claim: The court case was placed in abeyance (paused) while the Nation negotiates with the Province of B.C. and other parties. Negotiations remain ongoing as of late 2025; no final court award of title has been made.
•Government actions: In 2021 the Province and Kwikwetlem signed a Partnership Agreement. The site was officially renamed səmiq̓ʷəʔelə (“Place of the Great Blue Heron”). BC Housing and the Nation became partners in stewardship and future planning/master planning for the site. Some culturally or historically important parcels were expected to be transferred to the Nation, while the bulk of the land was to remain public, with shared decision-making power. The Nation has described the arrangement as making them equal partners and has publicly stated the land is “ours” and that they want to “come home.”
The property remains under provincial ownership (managed by BC Housing) and is still used for mental health and related facilities, with collaborative redevelopment planning underway (though the process has paused at times while the partnership is further defined). The Nation is actively involved in decisions about future use and has expressed interest in economic, cultural, and healing-related development that benefits its members.
In short: claimed by Kwikwetlem, recognized and partnered with by the B.C. government (with plans for some land transfers and shared governance), but not fully awarded as exclusive ownership of the entire site.

“Abolishing the Indian Act would cause a lot of people to lose their jobs, says John Carpay.
He argues Canada’s race-based laws is a big money industry and equal rights would put them out of work.
Who benefits from the status quo, and what would change if every Canadian were treated equally under the law?”

Yes it is time.
It is time to reopen Riverview.
We used to take care of people with mental illness at the Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam. It was closed in 2012, and now we have thousands of people with mental illness living rough on the streets of Vancouver. The de-institutionalization policies are clearly not working. Reopening Riverview is long overdue. Why hasn't it happened yet? It is because of an indigenous land claim? I intend to find out.
OneBC!! A billboard on Dallas Brodie’s ancestral land has been vandalized and a terrible hate crime against her has been committed. She thinks it is worth 12 million! 🤣 I agree!!
