1/6 If your child had a serious illness, would you send them to a 21-year-old college senior who has read three Wikipedia articles and watched two you.tube videos about treatment?

Shelbys father, Officer Richard Houston, was murdered last week in Texas. I don’t know if I’ve ever witnessed such a powerful display of God’s mercy & grace.
The next time our lost neighbor, co-worker, or family member aggravates us...remember the words of this grieving daughter. – at King, NC

I have two responses to the Mars Hill podcast.
1. It's a sobering, needed cautionary tale for leaders.
2. Some responses to it lack self-reflection, as in "Thank God that I am not like that." (Luke 18:9-14)
The Sermon on the Mount reminds us that the same seeds are in us all.

What you get out of sermons isn’t just up to your pastor. It’s also up to you.
Pride: “I know this already.”
Humility: “I need this again.”
Don’t be a prideful listener.

I’ve been walking with Jesus for over 25yrs. He saved me at 15 & at 40 I’m more in love with Him than I was in 1996!
Teenagers, it’s possible to surrender everything to Jesus now & not regret it later on. Hold on to Him as He holds on to you & remain faithful to Him alone!

If you haven’t been to church in months and you lack motivation to return, that’s understandable. Your gathering muscles have atrophied. Just don’t wait until you *feel* like returning before you do. Your heart is not your king.
Get your body there, and your heart will catch up.

Conversations with successful peers for tactics."

100x more important today’s world than when first taught in the 1940’s— “In the old days, when there was less education and discussion, perhaps it was possible to get on with a very few simple ideas about God. But it is not so now. Everyone reads, everyone hears things discussed.
“Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from him.”
2 Samuel 14:14
