Elon has this new game where he’ll load me up with 1000 bot followers overnight, then yank them away during peak tweeting times to tank my reach. What a chode.

I'm sorry that Mitch McConnell appears to have suffered a medical incident. He'll have the best health care that tax-payers' money can buy, and return to work to abolish medicare and social security for the rest of us.

THREAD: As a NYT reporter, I've been investigating Trump family international deals since 2016. India, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Panama. I have never seen anything like the Oman deal, re the potential for a conflict of interest. Let's take a look nytimes.com/2023/06/20/us/po…

Mass shooters don’t choose the AR-15 because it looks “cool.” They choose it, because they can kill upwards of 30 people before needing to reload. On Sept 28th, 1982, 12 year old Mary Kellerman was hospitalized after being poisoned by a killer who laced a bottle of Tylenol that was on a store shelf, with cyanide. She died the next morning. A day later, six more would die from poisoned Tylenol. By October 5th, Johnson & Johnson had issued a nationwide recall of 31 million bottles of Tylenol, and launched a massive advertising campaign to get people not to consume any of their products that contained acetaminophen (Tylenol) The 1982 event inspired a rapid and radical shift in how certain products were sent out, quickly prompting manufacturers to start using tamperproof packaging. Untold lives have been saved in the years since. The crisis management response by Johnson & Johnson is taught today as a model of corporate public relations and public safety. These fucking shootings should be SIMPLE to fix. We KNOW how to rapidly bring about a massive reduction in school shootings and the senseless deaths of children and staff. We KNOW how. It’s not happening, because organizations like the NRA spend millions upon millions of dollars to make sure GOP politicians do NOT allow those solutions to be implemented. The NRA rewards the GOP for allowing our children to continue being slaughtered. It’s NOT that we don’t know how to crush this. That, has never been the problem.

Weird how Trump supporters are now saying the same things about Desantis we have been saying for 5 years, and Desantis supporters are now saying the same things we have been saying about Trump for longer than that.

Assault is not an expression of love. It's a symptom of what psychologists call precarious manhood. In cultures of honor, men rationalize aggression as a means of maintaining respect, and perpetuate cycles of violence. The best way to protect others is to break the cycle.

Job-seekers: don't be put off by employers who expect 5 years of work experience for an entry-level position. This kind of messaging suggests they don't have much interest (or expertise) in developing people. #jobhunting #employment #jobsearch #peopledevelopment #people #HR

Constantly claiming to be a victim is not a sign of virtue. It's a strategy for narcissists and psychopaths to get ahead. Data: people who regularly signal victimhood are more willing to lie, cheat, and steal. Beware those who air personal grievances like every day is Festivus.

We're becoming rather clear about what employees want in the future workplace. Question is, in a post-pandemic economy, will many beyond the top 2% of talent have leverage to demand it? #hybridwork #futureofwork #WorkFromHome
