some of you grew up being allowed to have feelings. the rest of us had to monitor our parents’ moods, swallow our emotions, and make ourselves smaller just to keep the peace at home. it really shows in how differently we move through life.

No one’s a faster typer than an elder millennial who took a keyboard class in middle school.

Remember when getting a new CD meant sitting on the floor reading the entire booklet? Lyrics, production credits, thank-you notes, everything. We weren’t just listening to albums. We were studying them.

I think millennials are having a factory reset. Nobody wants their career. Nobody wants corporate culture. Nobody wants another fucking productivity app. We just want a little house, some hobbies, financial security and to be left the fuck alone. Apparently that’s radical now.

Call me whatever you want, but I believe a society's goal should be to secure the highest quality of life and happiness for its citizens, not to endlessly generate capital for the ownership class at everyone else's expense.

If the world is getting a little too much may I recommend the inexplicably obsolete word ‘latibulating’, from the 17th century? To latibulate is to find a cosy corner somewhere and hide in it.

Millennials are at that weird stage of life where we’re too experienced to start from scratch, too young to give up, too exhausted to keep pushing, and too broke to even afford a proper midlife crisis.

Most people in France can't afford housing. They didn't blame immigrants, or transgender people, or video games, or avocado toast. They blame the government. Because that's who's responsible. That's always who's responsible.
