In 1768, Louisianians rejected the tyranny & misrule of Spain. The Louisiana Rebellion of 1768 forced the representative of the Spanish Crown, the governor, to flee overseas on Nov. 1. Louisiana was self-governing until Spain reasserted control Aug. 1769. In fact, Louisiana had been mostly self-governed since France ceded Louisiana to Spain 5 years earlier. Join us to make Louisiana independent again! This revolt began Oct 29 when the colony’s Supreme Council, including Joseph Villeré, voted to banish the governor. They issued a printed "Memoire" to justify their actions, which may have influenced the 13 colonies’ Declaration of Independence later. The Memoire says (in French) “…What wrong have we done in shaking off a foreign yoke, which the hand that imposed it rendered still more overwhelming? What wrong have we done, finally, in claiming back our laws, our country, our sovereign… Are, then, those praiseworthy attempts without an example in our history? More than one town of France… have they not several times broken the English yoke with fury, or refused their fetters with constancy?…”
At minute mark 1:16 we discuss: -What makes Louisiana different? -How would Louisiana become independent? -Louisiana is excluded from tariff revenue & offshore oil lease royalties because we’re in the Union -Will we need a passport? -Political polarization in the US

HB 610 allows the state treasurer to invest up to 10% of state government's funds in gold to preserve independence from federal failures But Chairman Glenn Womack (R) hasn't put it on the Senate Finance Committee's agenda for tomorrow. End of session is June 1. Contact him
HB 610 passed 93-2 in the House, and both bills will get 2nd reading & referral in the Senate today. Ask your state senator for vote YES on these important state sovereignty bills

If Louisiana were a country, we wouldn't face the risk every 4 years that Northern politicians are going to crush the industries that power our state. Louisiana would have the sovereignty to protect our people, livelihoods, cultures, dialects, and values.
If Louisiana was a country, we would be number 1 in the world in LNG exports. Thanks @CNBC for having me on to discuss!

Look…It's not that hard. The left just wants to live in an environment where taxes are high, the regulations are plentiful, the property is collective and the economy centrally planned… No one has guns except the police, who no longer exist because no one is illegal so prisons aren't needed. The men are women, the women are men and the kids are trans… The day care centers are plentiful, but kids are not, because abortion is free. All lives matter except for straight white males who are literally Hitler and land acknowledgments are spoken before every sporting event where the score is never kept… And the rest of us? Well the rest of us would like to live somewhere about as opposite to what I just described as possible. So maybe it's time to just divvy up the states between us. Allow everyone the option to move to one zone or the other and then conduct the same kind of experiment that North and South Korea did… Then we can check back in 30 years and figure out which one is a thriving high trust society and which one is a degenerate failed state incapable of being seen from space at night…except maybe for the mostly peaceful glow of its cities burning to the ground.

Twenty years ago today, I founded the Texas Nationalist Movement. The skeptics said we'd fail within a year. Today we're 633,000+ strong with elected officials, GOP platform victories, and a permanent place in Texas politics. This is how we did it. texianpartisan.com/analysis/…

20 years ago today, Katrina hit. 40% of Louisiana’s National Guard was deployed on Washington DC’s nation-building misadventure in Iraq when Katrina hit, which was peak hurricane season, and the National Guard bureau in DC delayed by 48 hours the governor’s requests for other states’ Guards. Forces under US Army Gen. Honoré confiscated guns from law-abiding citizens when citizens needed them most, as criminality skyrocketed due to the lack of law enforcement. The states were quite explicit that they wouldn’t have agreed to the US Constitution if the Bill of Rights, including the 2nd Amendment, were not to be included. Louisianans were shocked to see Washington DC ignore this foundational principle of Western society: the right of self defense. Read more in the news section of our website from a year ago.

If Louisiana becomes self-governing, we can more easily regulate the practice of medicine across our borders so that infant Louisianans aren't killed for convenience anymore.
New data shows more women in Louisiana had abortions last year than *before* the state banned nearly all abortions. Why? Telemedicine. wwno.org/public-health/2025-…

HB 386 passed committee moments ago 7-6. It's now a 1-sentence bill recognizing any gold-backed debit instrument like @Glintpay as legal tender. Don't know whether this will make the purchase/sale of the gold tax-free, but it might. 1/ #lalege

Click one button to support Louisiana's sovereignty: This Thursday, two great bills will be debated and voted on at the 9am hearing of the Louisiana House Judiciary Committee. One button will send emails to every member of the bill's committee to ask them to vote yes! HB 64 would guard Louisiana sovereignty from being given away to the feds by court settlements by Louisiana cities, parishes, boards, or parts of the state government without approval from the governor and his Attorney General. New Orleans agreed with the Biden administration to put federal judges in charge of blocking New Orleans police from effectively enforcing Louisiana law. That wouldn't happen if HB 64 passes! freelouisiana.org/support-hb… The same committee will consider another great bill at the same meeting. See this thread to support it.
