I co-ask. When where Jews in South Africa ever prevented from walking the streets, being fully present at public spaces, enjoying Johannesburg's amenities - restaurants, road races, gym, concerts and safely walking g to shul with their beautiful, close knit families? I always admired that. When were they prevented to fully participate in Joburg's economic, social and religious life? The broader question is: "Who prevented them?" I'd like to participate in exposing and challenging those people. Does the SAJBD see fellow Johannesburg residents as a threat to their existence? They are victims of Johannesburg residents? These accusations and the engineering of "us vs them" binaries is exactly what will drive a wedge between people. What exactly are they accusing Johannesburg residents of?
Why does the SAJBD believe that Jews are "reclaiming space" by walking down Louis Botha when they were never barred from this road due to being Jewish? And why are they acting like it's brave for Jews to be "visibly, unselfconsciously Jewish in public" in GLENHAZEL of all areas?

here are my thoughts on Jason Arday, who just committed suicide after being incessantly hounded by the entire UK and US media class from across the ideological spectrum, The Guardian to The Telegraph and New York Times. After it was revealed that he committed plagiarism in his PhD thesis and academic work, he resigned, but it was not enough. They kept picking at him every day, over and over. They wanted to turn him into a symbol for the lack of ability of every non-white scholar. They wanted to make him the poster-boy for "woke 1", to use AOCIA's phrasing, and all its evils and depravities, so they couldn't let it go even after he had resigned and it was already over. So I want to compare and contrast Arday with another person: Bill Ackman's wife Neri Oxman, who is an Israeli Zionist Jew. She completed her PhD at MIT in 2010, and in the same year joined MIT's media lab as part of the faculty. There she was allowed to found a "research group" that was heavily funded, including by Jeffrey Epstein. Her PhD was found to be filled with plagiarism: businessinsider.com/neri-oxm… businessinsider.com/bill-ack… businessinsider.com/neri-oxm… As you can see there, her plagiarism was massive, and included literally copy-pasting from Wikipedia and plagiarizing from another already caught plagiarist: retractionwatch.com/2024/01/…. This is worse than anything Arday was accuse of by a million miles. She didn't even copy-paste from other academic sources, she copy-pasted FROM FUCKING WIKIPEDIA. This was a marginal item for a few days, her husband Bill Ackman, a fanatical genocidal Zionist, defended her plagiarism by saying that copy-pasting from Wikipedia and all the rest is actually completely normal and fine, and he pressured Business Insider's owners to review and retract the reporting (washingtonpost.com/style/med…), and then everyone forgot about it and she still has her PhD in good standing. If she hadn't already left her MIT position in 2021, she would still have it today, and everyone knows it because no one dares touch a Zionist Israeli Jew who can hysterically cry ANTISEMITISM ANTISEMITISM and get Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, everyone at the NYT, BBC, CNN, Guardian alongside the vast Israel lobby and regime to rise to their defense. No one attempted to make her into the symbol for Zionist Jewish supremacists and their deception and lies and how they worm themselves into elite academia and then use their Zionist Jewish supremacist husbands and the entire Israel lobby to defend them when they get caught. Jason Arday had no one. A few marginal voices attempted to call of the dogs, but they were themselves swamped with death threats and insanity. He was systematically murdered by the media and political class, while countless Neri Oxman's slither around at MIT, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cambridge, Oxford without a worry in the world because they know exactly where power really, actually lies.

Haai...it's so weird. Sometimes we have words, sometimes we don't. I love what you say...it's not a group project.

“why must people perform their grief for you?” Ilapho kanye Redi. Give people the space they need, and that space is easily infinite. Grief isn’t a group project.

There are so many people, over many years, from ordinary citizens to organisers to media to lawyers who carried this cause. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼. An incredible victory, if only a fight that were never needed in the first place.

Working on this show, and with both you and @NolwAzi_Tusini laid the foundation for a lot of my critical thinking. You encouraged us to read widely and overly interrogate our sources. And you also persuaded me to never run an 89km ultramarathon because… yah… no.
I know my producers @LauraW_88 and @NolwAzi_Tusini were not a part of this case in the courtroom. But tjo, they really did some heavy lifting in putting this issue on the agenda of The Redi Tlhabi Show. Laura instinctively grasped the significance of this case. She knew the facts and appreciated the themes of inequality, exclusion and social hierarchies that it represents. She made a case for it in our diary meetings. And then, Nolwazi, the social justice warrior also ran with it, organizing activists, legal experts to be on the show. We used our platform to challenge @CityofCT . We took calls and ensured that this important case got the media attention it deserved, in the public interest. There is nothing I loved more than working with smart, "thinking" ...very often..young producers who stretched my knowledge. This is one story that they owned and ensured I was well prepared to tackle. You did great. You got it because you cared!

#Tafelberg #ConCourt #SpatialJustice @ConCourtSA: Unanimous judgment: @CityofCT & @WesternCapeGov City of Cape Town remains divided. The matter is about full access to the City about “Right to the City”. Location is not a peripheral to housing access. State bears a burden to align with Constitutional transformation. City had failed to provide any housing in well located areas. No justification for City’s policies lacking geographical location considerations. No justification for failing to provide housing in Sea Point. City cannot use land value as a basis for denying access to housing. (Helen Zille told me “using high value land for affordable housing was over subsidizing the poor”) City and Province has failed in their constitutional duties to provide well located affordable housing and to address spatial apartheid. VICTORY! Disposal of Tafelberg School site by WC Government was unlawful. @ReclaimCT @NdifunaUkwazi 👏👏👏

Small European island nation continues to be wrecked by political instability. This as its 4th prime minister in 5 years resigns, after less than a year on the job. The big question of course is can Europeans be trusted with democracy? Back to you in studio John.

Yes. All of this. Yes.
Israel is not only pressuring other African countries to help isolate South Africa, some fringe political actors and leaders are also taking money to create instability and trouble that could further isolate South Africa on the international stage. Instead of defending the country’s interests, they are advancing agendas that damage its reputation, weaken investor confidence, and hand ammunition to those seeking to marginalise South Africa diplomatically and economically. Where do you think the money for all these activities is coming from? Organising campaigns, mobilising people, and sustaining coordinated actions requires funding. It is a question that South Africans should be asking as they watch events unfold.

We are also aware that many governments are being pressured by Israel and the US to isolate South Africa for obvious reasons. The rest of the rhetoric is just a side show

'Self-hating Jew'? Let me answer your rhetorical question so you don't have to ask it any more. From 2012 until 2023 I was a regular shul-goer and shomrei mitzvot. Still have a kosher home. I went to shul in the morning, davened from the amud, leined Monday Thursday morning 1/

Firstly, thank you for leaning forward and acknowledging the moment. I appreciate that you support non-aligned community initiatives. That's what I always thought until a significant shareholder and son of the founder implied otherwise. However, you are not condemning Mark's attacks on me, including using a misogynistic term (bitch), repeatedly, prior to this moment. Dischem cannot place the two of us on the same footing or treat our statements as equivalents. He initiated the attack with his misogyny and a blatant lie that maligned me personally and professionally. I also note your safe avoidance of mentioning him by name and referencing the significant words that were an activator of my response: I.e that I received money from his mommy and you as an institution. Until you make it clear that this is false, and that a significant shareholder calling me a bitch is unacceptable, then your words below are.....okay, I guess, but lack moral conviction and steadfastness.

We note recent X posts relating to the company and the Dis-Chem Foundation and we unequivocally distance ourselves from the comments and sentiments that have been expressed. These views are not endorsed by Dis-Chem and do not reflect the position of the board or management. We are a proudly South African, apolitical and non-partisan company with the primary focus of improving access to affordable healthcare and delivering better health outcomes for all South Africans. The Dis-Chem Foundation has, since its establishment in 2006, consistently supported non-aligned community initiatives focused on healthcare access, nutrition, education and community upliftment. We are, and will remain committed to respectful engagement, sound governance and constructive relationships with all our stakeholders, especially our customers and partners.

That careless and unnecessary comment by that guy has put Dischem under scrutiny and will lead to South Africans being cautious of supporting it.
