How the B.C. NDP created a human rights regime to advance their ideological goals and why there is ample precedent for dismantling it today in @WDiminishment
Political and social groups champion ideas and values that align with their goals and act as tools to gain or maintain power.
Nowhere is this more evident than in the B.C. NDP’s dogged commitment to the B.C. human rights regime.
How comfortable are British Columbians with consolidating adjudicative power, backed by substantial monetary penalties, in the hands of a few unelected bureaucrats? This question demands an answer when considering our human rights regime.
Abolishing the Human Rights Tribunal and the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner would not be unprecedented in our province’s history, and the suggestion that these actions be taken should not be treated as something beyond possibility.

Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream is now a toss up between OneBC’s Alexandra Wright and the BC Khalistan Party’s Pavneet Singh!
Vote Alexander’s if you love freedom, prosperity and hiring Canadians citizens.
Don’t worry about Pavneet, he has a $39/hr job at Pita Pit to fall back on.

When you have unofficial public policy positions that housing prices are never allowed to go down and seniors’ entitlements are never allowed to be reformed you’re basically just buying time until the whole thing goes up in flames.

Regardless of how you feel about immigration, something isn't adding up.
Canada has massive true unemployment. Poverty is rising. Healthcare is dying. The people being brought in are disproportionately not doctors and engineers (I fully support importing qualified talent). Voters don't want this.
There's an underlying problem here no one is willing to talk about. Our country is built as a Ponzi scheme. The government must import new people to pay into the scam so that they can pay out the old investors so that the whole thing doesn't come crashing down.
The problem is that every Ponzi scheme crashes eventually. And the longer it goes on, the worse the crash is going to be.
Immigration levels in Canada are set to rise again.
@LenaMetlegeDiab signalled a forthcoming boost to new arrivals after population growth hit its lowest rate since WWII, CTV News reports. (1/4) 🧵👇

We simply cannot end mass immigration. Two thirds of fast food restaurants would close. Trucking would get much safer. Companies would be forced to hire Canadian workers at decent wages. Housing would become affordable. And worst of all, communities would grow closer again. No.

They paused immigration for a year. Sort of. Permanent residents continued to be added at the rate of almost 400k/yr, 1% of Canada's population, every year.
Housing market is still a shitshow, health care is still a shitshow, the economy is falling apart.
But nothing is more important than white replacement, comrades.

If you gave every municipal police department in Canada the ability to permanently detain 100 of their worst offenders, we would enter a golden age so dramatic that for years afterwards we would demarcate the current era by this one action.

On this “National Day for Truth and Reconciliation”, at a time when telling the truth does not yet constitute a hate crime punishable by up to two years in prison (Bill C-254), let’s tell the truth: no bodies were found in Kamloops. The residential-school “genocide” claim is a hoax.
Truth first, then Reconciliation. Reconciliation requires an end to the BS, the victim mentality, the fake white guilt, and the grifting.

This, in my mind, is the most legitimate criticism of Starship I’ve seen. Musk has rather strongly floated the idea that Starship can not only take us to Mars, but provide point-to-point Earthly transport to anywhere in 90 minutes. Basically a Super Concorde.
It is one thing to expect trained astronauts or settlers bound for the Moon or Mars to experience this once or twice as a prerequisite to chasing their dreams in space. They will be, after all, trained. It is another thing entirely to expect a middle-aged New York businessman to want to go through this right before a major presentation in Tokyo or Sydney.

I think I speak for many Canadians when I say that it is correct to teach and acknowledge the devastation of residential schools, but that I can't unsee how Truth and Reconciliation has become the cloak for one of the most appalling spasms of institutional deceit in my lifetime.

I think @AaronGunn would be wise to offer himself up as head of the BC Conservatives at this critical junction. The party needs a decisive leader with credibility after this mess. Not some no-name MLA no one has ever heard of. Especially if Premier Eby is calling an election.

The EU is unable to control its borders. The result is chaos, poverty & crime.
We already have options for foreign students, both ways, but this is frightening & wrong. Don’t open Canadian borders to the European Union!

Also, there is a distinction between individual Muslims and Islam as a governing policy, or as broadly practiced across the world. Two things can be true at once:
1. Individual Muslims can be good Western citizens. Some are moderate; some have embraced Western values.
2. Islam, speaking generally of current global practice, and as implemented in governing policy in Muslim-majority countries, does not embrace separation of church and state, freedom of religion, or most other Western values. It is simply not a liberalizing or moderating force.
I hope a true reform Islam arises, and that it emerges victorious.

CBC/Radio-Canada runs an AFP wire piece marking 50 years since Mao's death: a man whose policies killed tens of millions framed around nostalgia instead of condemnation.
Meanwhile journalists in 🇨🇦 still relitigate whether 9/11 was about "Islamophobia" instead of the death cult that murdered 3,000 innocent people.
The proof of ideological capture of a media class that's lost the plot on the regimes and ideologies this country was built to reject is right in front of us everyday.
Look for yourself.
