Ofcom needs to go to hell, super corrupt organization
๐จ NEW: Ofcom says all adults should have to use their ID to access social media.
โข Ofcom has recommended four methods for verifying usersโ ages ahead of the UKโs ban on social media for under-16s, which is due to come into force in March next year.
โข The four methods suggested, subject to government approval, are photo ID matching, banking-based checks, live facial age estimation and digital ID.
โข The regulator noted that verifying the ages of 16 and 17-year-olds is challenging because many do not have credit cards, full driving licences or passports.
โข Ofcom chief executive Dame Melanie Dawes said the ban can work if firms carry out highly effective age checks, and that the regulator will take action against companies that fail to comply.
I have written to Stirling MP @chriswkane regarding this, and urge everyone else to write to their MP too.
Not only is the social media ban a violation of YOUR liberties and privacy... Now the government is using it as an excuse to introduce mandatory digital ID by the back door

Shocked and bloody angry I think... it takes more than that to shake me.
I may be a woman, but I'm not the snowflake here.
Exclusive:
Nigel Farage's "physical altercation" during the State Opening of Parliament was with the Lib Dem MP Caroline Voaden - and has caused an major row between Reform and the Lib Dems.
Lib Dem sources say Voaden was left "shocked and shaken" after he "shoved" her to secure a place in the procession of MPs to the King's Speech.
Video from the Commons Chamber that day shows Farage and Voaden making their way down from their benches together.
Voaden reported the incident to the Serjeant at Arms and says Farage was asked to apologise - but hasn't.
A Reform spokesman denies any wrongdoing by Farage, saying "it was the Lib Dem MPs being aggressive towards Nigel". Lib Dems say that is "utter nonsense"
Farage said yesterday that the "physical altercation" was the reason he didn't put up a fight to be in the Chamber for the Budget after his prayer card to save a space was removed.
He said he thought that after the row with Voaden, it was "better to avoid conflict".
But in a further twist, a Commons spokesman says Farage's card was only removed because it didn't have a date stamp, which are required to reserve a spot.

Fake news.
I was 2nd in the MPsโ queue from 7.30am this morning (behind Des Swayne) for a prayer card to reserve a seat and there was no sign of Farage then.
I didnโt see him come to prayers at 11.30am to come and claim a seat then either.
You snooze, you lose.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands.
The Reform UK leaderโs prayer card โ a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat โ was moved after it was placed this morning.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available unreserved and he did not attend prayers to secure one.

Strong on rants.
Weak on racists.
That's Nigel Farage.
Populist politicians will yap and larp about championing "common sense" and then simultaneously try to force ancient, baseless, religious values onto the country.
Religious theocracy is the complete and utter opposite of "common sense"

This is not a hard question @RobertJenrick
If @ReformUKScot and leading figures like @Malcolm_Offord and @ThomasKerrMSP had any decency, they will call it out for what it is, racism
I do not share the politics of @KemiBadenoch. But we must stand together against such hatred
โIs calling Kemi Badenoch a โNigerian scammerโ racist, yes or no?โ
โโฆIโm not on your show to talk about what a journalist has tweeted.โ
Reform's Robert Jenrick refuses to engage with @Lewis_Goodall's question about Raheem Kassam's comments on the Tory leader.

We donโt use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered โshahedsโ that attack our civilians and kill families.
Starlink wasnโt turned off โ its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered โshaheds.โ We couldnโt use a tool that helps protect people. Thatโs very painful and frustrating.
We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldnโt do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink.
Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes.
