Very enjoyable evening in Warwick with an audience clearly supporting the idea that Brexit was a disaster and net zero is the only way to go. Nice of @libdemdaisy to be there on her birthday! We all drank to her health afterwards apart from @ZiaYusufUK who legged it with his status symbol bodyguard. Fascinating to see how he did not make a single positive argument for Brexit. They never do. He has lovely shoes though, but a very weak handshake which is never a good sign in anyone.
Tonight, Question Time is in Warwick Joining Fiona on the panel are Emma Reynolds, James Cartlidge, Daisy Cooper, Zia Yusuf, and Alastair Campbell Watch at 9pm on @BBCiPlayer, @BBCSounds & the @BBCNews channel, 10.40pm on @BBCOne #bbcqt

Burnham's promises to scrap the scheme were hollow. Ofcom (@Ofcom) still intend to mandate that government issued ID is shown to access the majority of sites the public uses in Britain. Essentially, doxxing every user to the government and site. Say NO to digital ID.
Didn't take long for Burnham's pledge to scrap digital ID (@NoToDigitalID) to be revealed as entirely hollow. Showing your passport as a prerequisite to engage with the online world is still remains state policy. The solution was never digital ID requirements (doxxing of every user) as mandatory for every internet user in the UK and her territories. In reality, the solution was not this – it was having the family computer in the living room or the kitchen, and giving your child a nokia, rather than an Android. Standing on the graves of children and reaching for the tools of censorship will always be seen for what it is. The only antidote to the multi-faceted censorship state in Britain is low-tech approaches to parenting, and passing the @ASI Freedom of Speech Bill: adamsmith.org/research/the-f…

Ofcom needs to go to hell, super corrupt organization
🚨 NEW: Ofcom says all adults should have to use their ID to access social media. • Ofcom has recommended four methods for verifying users’ ages ahead of the UK’s ban on social media for under-16s, which is due to come into force in March next year. • The four methods suggested, subject to government approval, are photo ID matching, banking-based checks, live facial age estimation and digital ID. • The regulator noted that verifying the ages of 16 and 17-year-olds is challenging because many do not have credit cards, full driving licences or passports. • Ofcom chief executive Dame Melanie Dawes said the ban can work if firms carry out highly effective age checks, and that the regulator will take action against companies that fail to comply.

Shocked and bloody angry I think... it takes more than that to shake me. I may be a woman, but I'm not the snowflake here.
Exclusive: Nigel Farage's "physical altercation" during the State Opening of Parliament was with the Lib Dem MP Caroline Voaden - and has caused an major row between Reform and the Lib Dems. Lib Dem sources say Voaden was left "shocked and shaken" after he "shoved" her to secure a place in the procession of MPs to the King's Speech. Video from the Commons Chamber that day shows Farage and Voaden making their way down from their benches together. Voaden reported the incident to the Serjeant at Arms and says Farage was asked to apologise - but hasn't. A Reform spokesman denies any wrongdoing by Farage, saying "it was the Lib Dem MPs being aggressive towards Nigel". Lib Dems say that is "utter nonsense" Farage said yesterday that the "physical altercation" was the reason he didn't put up a fight to be in the Chamber for the Budget after his prayer card to save a space was removed. He said he thought that after the row with Voaden, it was "better to avoid conflict". But in a further twist, a Commons spokesman says Farage's card was only removed because it didn't have a date stamp, which are required to reserve a spot. Fake news. I was 2nd in the MPs’ queue from 7.30am this morning (behind Des Swayne) for a prayer card to reserve a seat and there was no sign of Farage then. I didn’t see him come to prayers at 11.30am to come and claim a seat then either. You snooze, you lose.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands. The Reform UK leader’s prayer card — a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat — was moved after it was placed this morning. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/business/202…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available and he did not attend prayers. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/… x.com/hope_sapphire/…

This is not a hard question @RobertJenrick If @ReformUKScot and leading figures like @Malcolm_Offord and @ThomasKerrMSP had any decency, they will call it out for what it is, racism I do not share the politics of @KemiBadenoch. But we must stand together against such hatred
‘Is calling Kemi Badenoch a “Nigerian scammer” racist, yes or no?’ ‘…I’m not on your show to talk about what a journalist has tweeted.’ Reform's Robert Jenrick refuses to engage with @Lewis_Goodall's question about Raheem Kassam's comments on the Tory leader.

We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families. Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating. We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink. Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes. From a conversation with media representatives in Brussels. (2/3)

BREAKING: Solihull Council has confirmed to me that pervert former Reform UK politician, Chris Whelan, has resigned as a councillor. He’s the misogynist who said of a woman: “if she was my daughter, it would still be a bath time on a Thursday…I’ll wash you properly this time.” They confirmed this after I reported him (and all of the of the racist/sexist/pervert councillors featured in ITV’s exposé) to the standards watchdogs at each of their respective councils. Solihull Council has confirmed that its process is now underway. Time for the others to do us all a favour and resign with immediate effect.
Warning: Distressing and graphic language An undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has found multiple elected councillors and party candidates expressing racist views and using offensive language. ITV has obtained secretly recorded footage showing Reform officials from across England and Wales using violent, racist and sexist language. Councillors Alan Feeney, Chris Whelan and Jamie Campbell did not reply to our request for comment. Councillors Feeney and Whelan have since resigned from Reform UK. In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said: "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed." "Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."
