The divorce rate for college educated people is nearly half as those without. For white people it’s about 30%. For Christians it’s about half of non-Christians, for non-boomers it’s a fraction.
If you’re a white christian college educated millennial, your divorce rate is about 15%. Don’t listen to doomers.
Lots of American troops wanted to make Japan suffer when they landed at Tokyo Bay in September of 1945. A lot of these troops had been in since the attack at Pearl.
And all that hatred faded away when they actually saw the state of the Japanese people when they started to occupy the mainland.
It wasn't the hatred of Communism that leftists always claim it was. It was the "basic human empathy" that leftists ALSO always talk about but wouldn't know what that was if it walked up and slapped them in their faces.
The first thing America realized they had to do for the occupation of Japan was to ship in food, immediately. And that's what we did.
If America had been a godless, leftist nation at the occupation, they would have made the Japanese starve and suffer further because leftist politics are grievance politics. Always crying about equity and reparations and gibmedats.
And would you look at that, Japan is now, militarily, the second most powerful nation on the planet and the third most powerful economy.
And they're the only ally we have at the moment. And that's okay by us.
🇯🇵 Leftists think this type of comic makes America and Japan look bad but as always they don't get it.
After World War II, Japan and America got over the war and became friends again. We had many things in common so we decided to work towards those goals.
The third worldist mind can't understand the concept of forgiveness. It doesn't exist in their tribal cultures which are based around resentment, humiliation, etc.
This is why Japan succeeds and these other countries fail.

Good mental health, healthy bodies, honest relationships with people, self-perception rooted in reality and acceptance? Hell yeah!
Jesus isn't going to let the robots end the world.
He's going to do it himself.
so speaking of the intersection of theology and AI discourse: I realized the other day that the reason I don't have any fear at all of AI genociding humanity is that I think that God has a plan for His favorite species.
Individual deaths? Mass deaths? Sure. Everyone dies, we've seen wars and genocides for as long as humanity has existed. But I don't think we have to worry about our species going entirely extinct from AI, gamma-ray bursters, Chicxulub impact events, etc.

Anthropic: Aren't you scared of the power AI has to destroy humanity?
Public: Meh.
Anthropic (trains special AI murder killbot that steals nuke codes and creates super viruses): What about now? Will you finally admit we were right about the dangers of AI?
First, no they don't. They've mutually exclusive claims as to the nature of the God Abraham worshipped. Logically, all can be wrong, but at most one can be right.
Second, Buddhism also has schisms. Ornithology has schisms. Simpsons fans have schisms. To schism is human.

Technically, walking on water would be a lack of bridge too far...
When skeptics raise an eyebrow and ask me how I, a scientist, can believe in the miracles of the Bible, I tell them if I can believe God created an entire universe, complex life, and consciousness, why is it a stretch to believe he also spoke to Moses through a burning bush or turned water into wine?
These same skeptics are often fine with a universe that just magically pops into existence or some unknown mechanism cranking out infinite universes. But Jesus walking on water is a bridge too far. 🤦♀️
Explain why 2+2=4 without mathfagging.

I think unicorns are probably fake, because we're very confident about how we got the idea.
Most other things, including leprechauns, I'm agnostic.

What I really need is an AI that can take over fighting my personal demons. That would free up a lot of my time – at Duran, Ecuador

The number one problem with fanfic in the modern age is the following....
Years ago, people would start writing their juvenilia, and everyone knew it was bad. The writer knew that it need work. The readers knew that it need work. The writer would be encouraged to do better and, with time, usually did.
But with fanfic, bad writing gets rewarded.
If the person's writing is bad, but it also happens to scratch some wish fulfillment itch of the fandom, they can get millions of downloads for really bad writing.
This means they never learn to improve.
The result is a whole bunch of TV shows and comics that are horrible, because the writers have learned everything they know from being rewarded from writing fanfic--while still being immature writers. They've never had to learn to be a good writer, to tell a good story.
As soon as they move outside of the audience of people who have wish fulfillment desires about a particular story, they can't write a story that holds a larger audience.
So the problem is not that fanfic is good or fanfic is bad--the problem is that people are being rewarded for writing bad stories and any attempt to say "This storytelling is immature: this writer needs to improve" gets attacked over and over and over again.
In other words, it's not writing in someone else's background or writing in your own background that is the problem, it's the audience giving the writer false positives.
I find the meme of English being kleptomaniac a little insulting. We didn't ask for Billy the Conqueror or the Danes. In fact, we specifically requested to not have those things.

Show me a single multi-cultural, multi-racial society that didn’t eventually end in either balkanization, civil war, or a failed state.
The list begins and ends with Singapore, and something tells me you aren’t too keen on living under a Singapore-style government.

Is there any genre of content sillier than “catching” Jews espousing that they’re not Christian? Like yeah, obviously he doesn’t believe Jesus was resurrected. That’s implied by him being (religiously) Jewish. You could infer that from the hat, you don’t need a video clip.
