The UK will continue to decline as long as it has two policies that are currently in place. 1. A commitment to end “relative poverty” Combined with 2. Low-skilled migration These two things are like strapping a Ferrari to a tractor. The first rule is a commitment to make sure no one is living below 60% of the average household income. On its own this might not be a bad idea. We’re all in it together so let’s pull the bottom up. When this is combined with low-skilled migration it becomes a battle that can’t be won. Brining in a million people who already fall below the 60% threshold breaks the deal. Imagine a firm of lawyers. They all commit to making sure no partner earns less than 60% of the average. This goes well because they train up the junior partners. Then one day they decide that the firm will merge with a company that does basic bookkeeping. This company is rapidly expanding too so the game shifts. Now the lawyers have to massively subsidise basic bookkeepers. What would you expect to see happen? The top lawyers would leave because the deal is structurally stacked against them. This isn’t theory. This is exactly what’s happening under Labour.

Excellent @spikedonline analysis of the crisis at the BBC by my ex-boss @philmcraig. 20 years ago when I made science docs for the Beeb it was a global byword for impartiality. A reputation trashed by managers who refuse to uphold the Corporation's values. spiked-online.com/video/the-…

UK Parliament has mentioned Gaza more than the NHS or immigration. In the Commons, Gaza racked up 9,228 mentions in roughly the first 10 months after the 2024 election — more than immigration/asylum (~5,700) or the NHS (~5,300). A year on, it is still regularly debated: ceasefire, aid, arms, RAF flights, inquiries. This is a conflict 2,000 miles away with no British troops on the ground, no UK territory at stake, and no direct threat to Britain. Domestic problems — waiting lists, housing, borders — keep getting ignored.

So there we have it. Probably the highest day ever in the BM at over £52 million The final number tends to be a bit higher than the trading figure reported by LCP This is what Connect & Manage has done... We spent £52 million because we had to throw away wind in Scotland that we built despite knowing we can't use it Plus NESO not curtailing it before the DA auction meaning instead of gas plant self dispatching it has to be bid on in the BM @Miatsf @mgshanks @AndrewBowie_MP @ClaireCoutinho @harrietc @ColinMoynihanUK @drlukeevans @ashley7fox @TiceRichard @cmackinlay @DavidGHFrost @mattwridley @Iromg @AllisonPearson @MerrynSW @EdConwaySky @afneil @mattotele @jonathan_leake @julietsamuel @energygovuk

Time to post my biannual “how artificially compressed are British wages”. Rising minimum wage and a 50k+ p/a tax bracket that runs to 40% of earnings, and hasn’t adjusted for inflation. This form of artificial wage compression has turned everyone in Britain into low productivity tax cattle - you have zero incentive to become anything other here. This is also a form of ambition and productivity compression. Source, ONS, Fig 5: ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabo…
🚨 NEW: John Healey will increase the minimum wage for over 21s from £12.71 to around £13.20

I asked Labour MP Dawn Butler why she's demanding my constituents pay more tax to fund "reparations". She wouldn't answer, but called me a "racist" in the Commons. It's not right to make people pay "reparations" when they've done nothing wrong. Name-calling doesn't change that.

For years, activists have claimed it is racist to break down sex crime statistics by nationality. This is nonsense. It should surprise no one that men from cultures in which women are treated as subordinate are convicted of sexual offences at disproportionately high rates.

Mr Kumar & a group of other wealthy Oxford Phd students went on a campaign of accusing me of racism over ten years ago he had never met me but decided I was racist based on 2 articles I had written in the Guardian (you can still read them & judge for yourself). They ridiculed me bullied me on line for several years because of my class & that I was white & had a mixed race son referring to me as 'Becky' & because I had grown up on a council estate they laughed about me being rough, sexually promiscuous (Becky) & stupid all the white working class girl stereotypes. It is of no surprise that this man is now bullying a Jewish woman on television & is in fact responsible for the Greens racist turn.

In ihm leben bummelig zwei Millionen Menschen. So viele, wie in Hamburg plus Speckgürtel. Oder Matjesgürtel. Geschenkt. Moin. Also wir alle.
