6'5 Matthew Widtfeldt | Lovejoy HS | 2027 | ★★ @MattWidtfeldt Extremely serviceable two-way player who impacts the game in a variety of ways. Widtfeldt does just about everything well and has developed into a knockdown shooter. His athleticism and shooting have noticeably improved, adding another dimension to an already extremely high-IQ player. Defensively, Widtfeldt is consistently active in the passing lanes and is a strong on-ball defender. He anticipates actions, competes and uses his size well on the perimeter. Offensively, he understands where to be, makes winning decisions and doesn't need the ball in his hands to positively impact possessions. At 6'5 with legitimate two-way versatility, shooting ability and feel for the game, Widtfeldt brings a skill set that should continue translating as the level of competition increases.
