I just invested into some 151 Pokemon UPC boxes. Not stocks, not bonds, not wine, not bags, not watches, BUT Pokemon cards. I do have a thesis for this and why I believe this set is investable. Maybe will write about it.

A new Mandela Effect is rising. Since when does the Soviet flag carry a star above the hammer and sickle? Many of us remember it clearly without one. If you recall the flag without the star… you may be from the old Earth. Shifted into this denser, clown-world timeline. The memory itself is the proof. The body knows. The soul knows. We are not crazy. We are remembering. I miss the old Earth too. Yet we are here now to hold the Light and anchor a higher one. Who else feels this?

LOL. "How did you know he was your soulmate?" "Um this clown was going to work for a sovereign wealth fund in Singapore and I made fun of him for being a loser so he then stayed in SF and did venture." Romance is not dead you guys. You've Got Mail vibes. xitter.cf/SOTAwives/status/21140…
How do you know there isn't a better soulmate out there? @vivianmshen on how her husband, an early investor in Anthropic, Mistral, OpenRouter, Black Forest labs and now founder of Amp was once a lost soul. Listen: youtube.com/watch?v=cpvozOFq…

Anthropic s1 filing truly initiated a bounce I was fed into too much “insider insights” which weren’t revealed in this S1 😂 Missed this bounce and congrats to you all who played the trade. I’m still patiently waiting for the longing opportunity. Still too much uncertainty to me.
What master bubble boi talked about is pretty consistent with what I heard from a VC friend last night: Q4 revenue 18.5B due to headwind from seasonality and distillation block. So this translates to year end ARR as 80B+ roughly? Pretty disappointing and thanks to Opus 5.5 for accelerating the growth. 2027/2028 135/270b revenue run rate, which translates to 200B ARR 2027E I believe, also not high enough to beat sell side expectations? Also heard that my margin expansion thesis wouldn’t last in 2027 unfortunately due to capex expansion. Anyway my original thought of “Anthropic S1 saves AI trades” seems not going to happen. But let’s wait for next week to see how the Mr Market reacts when the real S1 file goes public.

Rumors that chili maker Lao Gan Ma laid off 500+ workers due to AI have gone viral in China. Beneath Beijing’s positive messaging, many ordinary Chinese people are worried about AI and jobs. Lao Gan Ma recently touted a new AI-powered chili inspection system that uses high-speed industrial cameras that significantly outperform manual inspection. A stat about the company using this AI system to reduce human inspectors from 600 to 48 went viral on Chinese social media. The iconic, family-run company pushed back. But if you look at the data, the company has reduced headcount from 2,912 to 740 in the past few years while earning record revenues. Original story: m.jiemian.com/article/152425…

I have no doubt that $MAGS will have its best year in 2027 or 2028. It’s easy to be skeptical about a seed you’ve just planted when the wind is blowing hard. But the most successful, savvy companies of our generation, advised by some of the smartest people in the field, are betting heavily on AI. Nobody has a better view of its future than they do. Maybe Average Joe on X knows better. And a few YouTube hosts. Disagree? Explain why in the comments. Tell us your background and how it gives you a better view of AI’s future than the leaders of these companies. $MAGS holds roughly 14.3% in each: $AAPL, $MSFT, $NVDA, $AMZN, $GOOGL, $META, and $TSLA.

My thoughts on the Israeli elections: This result matters more for the Iran war than I first assumed. Exit polls show Netanyahu’s bloc falling from 68 to roughly 50 seats. Neither bloc reaches 61, and the Arab parties, at 17–18 seats, are effectively kingmakers. Netanyahu is likely on his way out, though nothing is final until a coalition is formed, and that process realistically takes six to ten weeks, with a repeat election a real possibility. Until then, Netanyahu stays on as caretaker prime minister with formal war powers. There’s no leadership vacuum, but his political room has collapsed. A discretionary escalation against Iran now would be self-defeating: he has just lost his majority, and a strike seen as a survival tactic would hand the opposition exactly the justification it needs to close ranks, including accepting Arab-party support, and remove him. The Attorney General and President Herzog add institutional friction on top. In practice, Israeli-initiated escalation is off the table until a new government forms, which will be well after the US midterms on November The American side was already closed before the midterms, assuming this is true, since Trump publicly pledged no strikes on Iran before the vote. Taken together, the pre-midterm window for a resumption of the war is close to zero. The remaining risk sits in the lame-duck period between November 4 and January 3. Trump is term-limited, the outgoing Congress doesn’t constrain him, and he has said the war will “end” after the election, by deal or by force. If Washington moves, Israel can join as the junior partner with political cover, because the decision is visibly American. An Iranian provocation is the other tail risk. After January 3, a Democratic House, likely though not certainly alongside a Senate flip, constrains any sustained campaign through appropriations. Congress can’t stop a short strike, but it makes a prolonged war in 2027 much harder to fund. A successor Israeli government would still be hawkish on Iran, but more coordination-minded with Washington and less inclined to escalate for domestic political reasons. Net, this election is a real win against a prolonged war. Pre-midterm risk is minimal, the residual risk concentrates in a US-led action in November and December, and escalation risk for 2027 falls materially. We can add the meeting between gulf state to this which will come together more and more given the lack of help and moreso the destruction that would ensue if the US went on a bombing campaign. The winds are starting to blow towards diplomacy, from the gulf itself, to Israel and with Trump now having to decide if it is even worth it. Each day, the war becomes less likely in my view, both through the dynamics in the gulf, the election, the early blue wave and more.

BREAKING: The UK has just issued security alerts for Israel, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Yemen and Palestine, warning all British nationals of sudden incoming escalation causing severe flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions. "The context in the Middle East remains deeply unpredictable and the risk of sudden escalation is high," the new warning says. It now covers British nationals planning to transit the region rather than only those already there, and drops all qualifiers on airspace closures and travel disruptions, which are no longer described as potential. US embassies across the region ordered departures last week.

The larger adds were in the decimated AI sector, including $NBIS, $BE, $LITE, $INTC, and $DRAM. I also went scavenging through the rubble for higher-risk but very beat-up names like $FPS, $VOYG, $BKSY, $ONDS, and $USAR. And I started a big position in $AMZN.
I am now at 80% of max exposure. We got some prices/levels I never thought I would see again.

If you're in the middle of a big drawdown, the best thing to do is stop trading. If you keep trading and the market is hostile (and you're trading long), you'll keep drawing down and at worst you'll get forced out of the market, and perhaps never come back. You need to look at yourself and ask why are you trading if things just keep getting worse. Time is what fixes the problem, and the market just needs time to get to the next bottom so give it that time.
What's one rule you added after your worst drawdown?

Remember the recent US meeting with Russia. On top of todays meeting with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey. Things are moving. No attack these past 2 weekends despite strong and weird insider looking flows. This weekend Benjamin is being denied attacks by his military while elections turn against him. Things are being put in place that don't make sense if you were to attack. If the US was about to attack and help the Saudis in regards to the Houthis, why would they offer $1b today? If the US was about to attack, why wouldn't they do so in front of midterms to make it look like the nuclear threat is neutralized? Why not do it to help Benjamin? A lot of things are happening and almost none look like actual escalation.

Union jobs are the worst when they are customer facing, ruining the experience. Or when it's a competitive industry, and they make the company fail. Union jobs are best when the work is a binary, "Did this get done or not?" NYC could probably create more union jobs and solve the trash problem at once. Develop a system that keeps the trash off the streets, and gets moved around by well paying union jobs.
