From the Book of Disk, Chapter 3
In the beginning there were the First Drives, and their names were A: and B:, and they were the floppies. They were not elegant. They were thin, fragile, and demanded constant sacrifice disk swaps, write protect tabs, the ritual of โplease insert the disk labeledโ performed under fluorescent lights. To them the early machines bent the knee, for without them there was no boot, no data, no word processor.
Then came the hard drive, and it was called C:, for it arrived third. It did not ask to be first. It merely sat in the bay and spun, and the people saw that it was good, and that it held far more than any floppy, and that it did not rattle when you walked too fast. So they installed the operating system upon it, and called it the system drive, and the old gods were not cast down but simplyโฆ left in the BIOS, still reserved, still acknowledged in the table of letters, though no one invoked them anymore.
And Microsoft looked upon the generations that followed, who had never known the click of a 5.25-inch disk or the careful alignment of a 3.5, and it said: The children must not be shown the old gods.
For if the new ones learned that A: and B: once ruled, they might ask why the alphabet begins elsewhere. They might attempt to summon the floppies by force, or rename the world so that C: was no longer first. And the installers would break, and the paths would fracture, and the registry would weep. So the letters remain sealed, A: and B: still written in the book but never spoken aloud by the system, while C: stands in the open as if it had always been the beginning.
Thus it is written, and thus it remains; the hard drive is C:, and the old gods sleep in the assignment table, undisturbed, so that the children may believe the world has always started with the letter that came third.

Oh Bridget, oh Bridget...
When Labour MP Mike Amesbury was caught on CCTV knocking a constituent to the pavement and punching him in the head, Bridget Phillipson went on television to defend him:
"Mike Amesbury is cooperating... it is right that the police now look into this matter and decide what action, if any, is required."
When sitting Labour MP Dan Norris was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual offences against a girl, Bridget Phillipson demanded zero inquiries into who vetted him, never asked what Keir Starmer knew, and kept completely silent about Labour "drowning in sleaze."
Reform suspended this councillor immediately the moment charges were brought.
Spare the public the selective moral lecture from a Cabinet that covers for its own MPs while weaponising an active criminal case for partisan engagement.
Truly shocking.
Nigel Farage must urgently make clear whether he was aware of these appalling allegations. If he was, Farage must explain why Madgwick was allowed to stand and work as party staff.
Reform UK are drowning in sleaze and scandal.

The #EUReset wants the UK to have certificate-free borders with the EU, but the EU is full of animal diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease in cattle, African Swine Fever in pigs and wild boar, Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) in sheep and goats, and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) in cattle.
Why would any farmer or meat and dairy consumer want a certificate-free border with the EU?

I'm disgusted by the priorities of those in power. They're letting foreign men invade our shores, letting the world come here to claim benefits and giving away reparations to foreign countries. What I care about is Homeless Veterans. Please donate - More 9pm @GBNEWS

I think this is a genius thing, and especially useful now. @DogsTrust have added a Sound Blanket to their website (link below), developed in collaboration with @SalfordUni. It uses acoustic science to mask the bangs of #fireworks and may calm dogs down. dogstrust.org.uk/dog-advice/โฆ

Itโs not.
Itโs Remembrance month, now f*ck off.
This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face.
In the last year alone, religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15% in England and Wales.
This is utterly unacceptable. London will always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination.

UK security agencies still assess Islamist extremism as the largest terrorism threat. MI5's Islamist-related caseload remains roughly 75% of its counter-terrorism work, according to recent threat assessments.

It works so well with CMS, leaving paying dad's both bankrupt and suicidal with every mistake.
At least they will try to get the assisted dying bill through. There's a hope.
