Even after his daughter’s de*th, a father is forced to fight for her dignity. No parent should ever have to face such a heartbreaking situation. 💔😔 They let the boy who was drunk and caused the accident off, but society is blaming the girl, asking why she was out so late at night with boys. Now, a father has to hold a press meet to prove that his daughter was a good girl. This is the state of our society today. 💔😔

What a real shame you are to this nation, @DelhiPolice! Choking, scratching, and kicking female @NSUI student with heavy boots in broad daylight just because they dared to raise their voices against vote chori? You hide behind uniforms and state power to inflict physical violence and grotesque humiliation on young women who pose no threat to anyone. Day after day, your bosses preach hypocritical nonsense about women's safety, respect, and protection, yet the exact second those same women demand democratic rights and accountability, you unleash your inner animals upon them. Dragging them by their hair, crushing them under heavy boots, and assaulting their bodily integrity exposes the absolute rot at the heart of this system. You really think a badge gives you a free pass to act like violent goon with absolute impunity? Suspensions and internal inquiries are a complete joke. Accountability isn't enough anymore every single officer involved in this cowardly assault needs to be fired and brought to justice .

At some point Govt needs to answer a very basic question. If citizens have to privately arrange healthcare, education, transport, security, clean water, clean air, retirement and backup for basic infrastructure... then what exactly is the middle class receiving for decades of taxes? Because "earn more money so you can protect yourself from our failures" cannot be the economic model of a serious country.

It is not mandatory to vote. It is not mandatory to register to vote. But all citizens have the right to vote. If you put these three together, it should be obvious that one person's right to vote is not in any way connected to whether their father or mother had such a right decades ago or exercised it. All the EC needs is one's own documents to register to vote. And if a person has already done that to get on the roll earlier, it is silly to first delete them and then ask them to do it again simply because their father was not on the roll eons ago. As a result, in searching for everyone's fathers, the EC has itself been the father of needless harassment. And for this madness, they pulled hundreds of thousands of teachers out of schools and made them conduct an exercise that has nothing to do with their jobs, while the students who depend on them were left in the lurch. The whole exercise is a disgrace.

The duty doctor is NOT the night watchman for the hospital. If there are no patients waiting he will be asleep in his room. When a patient arrives, the nurse or the other Staff will knock or call and wake them up. That is the normal practice. Someone please tell this MLA.

Victim Blaming Failed. Locals Spoke Up. "What were they doing there at night?" — the usual excuse. But locals told a different story entirely. They said these men had harassed women on this road not once... but at least 10 times before. First time caught. > Girls stopped going to school. > Tuition became a risk. > A daughter-in-law couldn't walk home without being followed and abused. This wasn't a first offence. This was years of terror. 😡

At Badrinath, some 10k feet above sea level, high-frequency sounds can shatter the fragile snow packed surrounding peaks, triggering avalanches in the narrow valley! Those who don't believe in science! This is an abode of Hindu god Vishnu who believes to be in meditation at the shrine!
There's a REASON why evn Shankh is forbidden in Badrinath Dham. That place has its own sanctity. And nw? DJs are blasting there. Club style music has a time & place. A sacred Teerth is NOT it. This govt's obsession to make every Dham a picnic spot is ruining the soul of Devbhumi.

Who would believe that this is Badrinath. And some idiots replying on this are saying that this is good for GDP. How crass and how ill informed. Will the custodians of Hindutva stand up and speak against this commercialization at one of our most sacred dhams.

Don’t complain when other religions mock Sanatan. We are doing a pretty good job ourselves. Look at what we have reduced it to ourselves- bhajan clubbing, endless shows, spirituality for sale. Everything has become a business. Even devotion. GOD has become a content on sale.

The BJP ecosystem's moral policing collapses the minute you replay history. At Indore’s “Chhatron Ki Goonj,” a comedian did what comedians do: mocked those in power. Within 24 hours, there was a coordinated outrage over an alleged “insult” to the PM’s mother. Yet here is the Prime Minister of India on live camera, hijacking a student's serious pitch for dyslexic children to take a crude swipe at an opposition leader and sneer about how "happy his mother will be." He demeaned every differently abled child in India and weaponized someone’s mother in the same breath. If respecting mothers and basic dignity is non-negotiable, why does that rule never apply to Narendra Modi?

His own honour is dignity is in not opening his mouth.
#WATCH | Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh | President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, says, “The statements made by the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr, regarding women are absolutely correct in the light of Sharia. His statement was misunderstood, leading to claims that he had made a controversial remark… He explained that the true honour and respect for women lie in their remaining at home; they are the adornment of the household, and this dignity should not be made a subject of mockery in the marketplace. The honour Islam accords to women is unparalleled elsewhere… He suggested that they remain at home to ensure their safety and preserve their honour and dignity… She can perform her office duties and other tasks while wearing the hijab. Sharia places no restrictions on this…”

Uttarakhand is next. @Anoopnautiyal1 and @hridayeshjoshi have been flagging these issues for years but their warnings have fallen on deaf ears. Massive deforestation, relentless road widening under Char Dham and other projects, hydro tunnels punching through fragile slopes, and unplanned construction on old landslide zones , the same deadly combination that is already making towns like Joshimath sink. The mountains are warning us. We keep ignoring them.
We will never be ready for this.

But they changed the name from Gurgaon to Gurugram. That should have been enough.
TOI posted two photos from 2018 and 2026 in Gurugram at same place. Gurugram didn't change its MP, didn't change the party of MLA, didn't change Govt in last 10 years, all stayed same, so the condition of road also didn't change.

Rahul Gandhi did something in Pune yesterday that Indian political speech almost never does. He put a price on being a woman. At Chhatron Ki Goonj, he broke violence into three parts, each with a number attached. Direct violence. Around 4.5 lakh girls killed before birth every year, which tracks UNFPA's State of World Population 2020 estimate of roughly 4,60,000 girls missing at birth annually between 2013 and 2017. Eighty per cent harassed at some point, on a bus, in a classroom, on a street. ActionAid's 2016 YouGov survey of Indian cities found 79 per cent. Twenty-nine per cent facing physical violence since the age of 15, and 6 in 100 reporting sexual violence in their lifetime, both from NFHS-5, 2019-21. Opportunity violence. Half of all women giving up education or leaving a job in the name of safety. Financial violence. ₹17,500 a year, extra, simply to travel safely. That last figure is not rhetoric. It comes from Girija Borker's work at the World Bank (Policy Research Working Paper 9731, July 2021), which mapped every travel route to every college at Delhi University against crowdsourced safety data. Women were willing to pay ₹17,500 more per year for a route one standard deviation safer. Men, ₹9,950. Women also chose colleges in the bottom half of the quality distribution over ones in the top quintile to avoid an unsafe commute, and accepted forty extra minutes of travel a day to do it. This is what a safety tax looks like when someone bothers to measure it. Paid in fees, in commuting hours, in degrees not taken. It compounds over a working life into lower earnings and the female labour force participation rate we keep writing papers about. The line he opened with is the one that stays. *Kuch ho gaya toh.* Four words, said by parents who love their daughters, that have shrunk more women's lives in this country than any statute on the books. Control arrives dressed as care, which is exactly why it is so hard to refuse. He paired it with the Time Use Survey finding: girls aged 15 to 29 do five and a half hours of housework a day. Boys in the same house do thirty minutes. Suchitra Pagi, an economics student from Vasai, spoke about being harassed at thirteen walking home from school. Maitri, a psychology student, said safety is what keeps rural girls out of college. They said it into a microphone, in a full hall. The number he did not linger on is the one that should worry us most. Ninety-nine per cent of sexual violence goes unreported. Every figure above is therefore a floor, and every policy built on NCRB data is being built on what women were willing to say out loud to a stranger with a clipboard.
