The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. MLB’s CBA fight has a financial clock - and it may run out at 60 games.
Owners are pushing for a salary cap and may be willing to sacrifice games to get it.
But if a 2027 lockout costs 60+ games, most of MLB’s national TV/streaming deals could be extended through 2029.
Why does that matter?
Well, MLB wants to centralize team streaming rights and share that revenue across the league, a major future media payday.
A prolonged lockout could delay it.
Owners may be willing to lose games for a new CBA. They may be less willing to lose media revenue.
