NEW: The Supreme Court declined to immediately restore a Biden-era rule allowing immigration judges to temporarily suspend deportation proceedings. A federal judge vacated the rule nationwide in June after Texas sued and the Trump administration agreed it was unlawful.

About that "affordability crisis" ... @BarackObama
October 27th is National Mentoring Day
Make a difference in someone's life
A mentor can be a person who offers advice when the path ahead feels uncertain, shares a lesson learned the hard way, opens a door to a new opportunity, or simply reminds you that you’re capable of more than you think.
For veterans transitioning to civilian life, starting a business, pursuing a new career or navigating life after service, the right mentor can make a lasting difference.
This National Mentoring Day, we’re celebrating the mentors in DAV’s community who show up, share their experience and help veterans move forward.

Hey Friends!
Posting this one again being when I posted it the other day, they changed their name to try and hide!
When them doing that, is pretty much a confession of being a spam account along with lying about their location.
Showing North America right now, but that will change shortly.

315 million Christians live under high or extreme persecution.
(Open Doors 2026 World Watch List)
Of the 4,849 killed for their faith, 3,490 were in Nigeria.
Nigeria accounts for most of the deaths because of repeated attacks by Fulani militias, Boko Haram, and ISWAP. These groups target Christian villages, churches, and farmers in the Middle Belt and northeast.
The same drivers show up across the other high ranking countries on the list, Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, and parts of the Sahel, where Islamic militant groups and blasphemy/apostasy rules produce the majority of the killings and forced displacement.
>North Korea ranks at the extreme end from total state control.
>China ranks high from surveillance, church demolitions, and imprisonment.
>India ranks high from localized Hindu nationalist violence.
The largest share of deaths and the darkest zones on the map are concentrated in Muslim majority countries.
Christians are being driven out of the Middle East.
Jordan just confirmed it.
Gunmen opened fire on a funeral inside a Greek Orthodox church in Karak on Friday, killing 7.
Karak itself was hit in December 2016 when ISIS gunmen killed 10 near the crusader castle, including a Canadian tourist.
Open Doors already ranks Jordan among the 50 worst countries for Christians.
The king can call it terrorism and promise retaliation, but the targeted killings and the resulting exodus continue.
In neighboring countries:
Before 2003, Iraq held around 1.5 million Christians, but after years of bombings, kidnappings, and ISIS rule, the number is now a few hundred thousand.
Syria’s Christian population fell from up to 2 million before 2011 to roughly 300,000 after the war and the June suicide bombing that killed 22 at Mar Elias church in Damascus.

Baptist Church burning in Dallas Texas. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out who’s behind it. If Muslims aren’t deported from our country there won’t be a church left standing in our country. Meanwhile mosques are growing in record numbers.

YOUR HOSPITAL'S RECORD SYSTEM CAN BE SUPPORTED FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY, AND NO FEDERAL RULE MAKES ANYONE TELL YOU
Your health data is sitting in India. Legally. Think about that.
Altera sells Sunrise, Paragon, TouchWorks and dbMotion, software that holds patient charts for hospitals and physician practices. It bought that business from Allscripts in 2022 for $670 million.
Altera's own office list shows Pune and Baroda in India. Its careers site lists 21 open India roles today, from 24/7 database monitoring to Citrix work that sets standards for "all customer environments."
HIPAA allows offshore access to patient records under a business associate contract. HHS says its rules have no requirements written specifically for data handled outside the US.
Texas requires health records to be stored in the US, and Florida requires the US or Canada. Neither law says where the person opening the record may sit.
Medicare makes its private health plans report offshore subcontractors that handle patient data. Hospitals and their software vendors face no matching federal rule.
To add insult to injury? Altera is now laying off Americans.

Turns out they were replaced with visa workers.
In the 9 months before July, it filed 1,262 new-hire H-1B applications, up from 661 in the same stretch three years earlier.

🚨 UPDATE: TRUMP’s DOJ HAD A CHANCE TO FIX THIS. IT DIDN’T.
13 Republican lawmakers urged the Justice Department to intervene.
DOJ reportedly declined, allowing the ruling to stand.
Think about that.
An employer can advertise specifically for H-1B workers, yet the advertisement alone may not establish a violation of the citizenship-discrimination law.
American workers may need additional evidence of discriminatory hiring.
The administration says American workers come first.
Then why did DOJ let this ruling stand?
@DAGToddBlanche
immigration-analytics.com/20…
🚨 “NO U.S. CITIZENS NEED APPLY.”
Yes, you read that correctly.
A DOJ administrative law judge just ruled in a case involving Boston Consulting Group that a discriminatory job advertisement like this is NOT, by itself, a violation of the federal law protecting Americans from citizenship-status discrimination.
Think about how crazy that is.
If a company posts:
“H-1B WORKERS ONLY”
many Americans will simply never apply.
And according to this ruling, the ad itself may not be enough.
An American worker may have to APPLY, get rejected, and then prove they were rejected because of their citizenship.
The sign tells Americans not to apply.
Then the law may require them to apply anyway to prove discrimination.
DOJ itself has previously gone after employers for discriminatory job advertisements, including ads favoring H-1B and other visa workers.
Now there is a limited window for the Justice Department to act.
The author of a new analysis is calling on Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to step in and vacate or modify the ruling.
He should.
In 2026, there should NEVER be a legal loophole allowing an American company to advertise:
“NO U.S. CITIZENS NEED APPLY.”
@DAGToddBlanche, will DOJ fix this?

FT2 David Baker and his teammates aboard USS Pasadena helped demonstrate a way to launch an underwater robot from a torpedo tube.
One option required a communications modification that typically costs about $200,000 per submarine.
Instead, Sailors worked with shore maintenance teams and Blueye Robotics to develop a 3D-printed waterproof housing and wiring system that kept the robot connected to its controller.
The Navy already owned the ROV. The additional materials and labor cost less than $1,000.
They tested it successfully, demonstrating a potentially affordable way to conduct underwater searches and inspections. More work remains on qualifications and integration.
We’ve got people who can figure this stuff out. Let’s give them room to do it.
This is more common than you may think. These are just the ones that got caught
