i believed in *abolishing* the police and still do. abolitionists dont stop existing bc you personally havent spoken to them and the Democrats are no longer pandering to them.
It is *wild* how "defund the police" was treated like a massively popular and serious idea, and 5 years later literally nobody is willing to admit they actually supported it.

A story that demonstrates escalation and further calcification of fascism in the present. Today, look in the mirror and ask yourself what’s your next move knowing where we’re at? The whole is getting deeper so the resolve has to match. The strategies and the action more pointed.

"The air outside feels hotter because of the combined humidity. Such conditions slow the rate at which you sweat, so your body's natural cooling system struggles to keep up." extremely dangerous for prisoners in MI, where prisons often don't have AC and cells are heat boxes

check on family, friends, unhoused neighbors, and PRISONERS! heat waves don't stop behind the prison walls!
An #ExtremeHeatWatch has been issued for ALL of SE Michigan. This will likely become an #ExtremeHeatWarning as we near Tuesday. Not everyone has air conditioning, so check on your family, friends, and neighbors to make sure they are staying cool. ~ Marisa

unhoused folks and prisoners all are susceptible to death and illness during this extreme heatwave, but are often unthought, forgotten, or deemed disposable prior to global warming's deathly effects
