It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Sergeant Morgan Wong, Private Shaun Farrell, Private Aidan Goulding, and Private Hayden Lykkemark, who tragically lost their lives during a training incident at CFB Wainwright. On behalf of Vaughan-Woodbridge and the province of Ontario, I extend my deepest condolences to their families, friends, and fellow members of the Canadian Armed Forces. My thoughts are also with the 39 injured members and their loved ones as they recover from this devastating incident. We are deeply grateful for the service and sacrifice of these brave soldiers. We honour their memory and stand with the Canadian Armed Forces community during this difficult time.

Every procurement dollar is an opportunity to support Ontario jobs. That’s why we’re protecting Ontario businesses by leveraging our $236 billion infrastructure plan to buy more Ontario-made lumber, steel, vehicles and other products whenever and wherever we can.

Ontario is a global energy superpower. And we’re just getting started. We can no longer rely on the U.S. for our prosperity or our security. That’s why we’re securing Canada’s energy sovereignty by building new nuclear, the largest battery storage fleet in the country and the transmission to connect it all. Reliable power. Stronger communities. More jobs for Ontario workers. @fordnation @Sflecce

On Wednesday, I joined Premier Ford and my caucus colleagues at Westlake Pipe and Fittings in Woodbridge. Facilities like this are the engine of our local economy and a symbol of what Ontario and Canadian-made really means. In the face of President Trump's economic attacks, our government is fighting to protect Ontario jobs, keep our supply chains moving, and ensure that Ontario's manufacturing capacity doesn't just survive this moment, but comes out of it stronger. That's what it means to protect Ontario.

In the face of President Trump’s economic attacks, Ontario is unlocking the vast economic potential of the Ring of Fire to build the most competitive, resilient and self-reliant economy in the G7. Construction is underway on all roads to the Ring of Fire—five years ahead of schedule—connecting communities, creating economic opportunities and building a future of shared prosperity for generations to come. @fordnation @GregRickford @PrabSarkaria @Sflecce

Our government is making record investments to protect our health-care system, investing over $101 billion this year alone, the most in Ontario’s history. Here in Vaughan-Woodbridge, that means connecting more people to family doctors, expanding care closer to home and ensuring patients get the care they need faster.

The future of Ontario is being built by the men and women @liuna183. Yesterday I joined Premier Ford to meet some of them — and I continue to be impressed by the pride and skill that goes into their work. 🏗️💪

Ontario continues to lead the nation in eliminating interprovincial barriers that cost the Canadian economy up to $200 billion annually. By ensuring we have free and fair trade within our own borders, we’re unlocking new opportunities for workers and industries, lowering costs and strengthening our economy for generations to come.

Today we advanced plans to widen Highway 400 from 6 to 10 lanes in King Township. Roads connect people to work, family, and opportunity — and Ontarians deserve a network that gets them there safely and efficiently. We're delivering.

We’re building a more secure, sovereign and self-reliant food sector to grow and make more food right here at home. Backed by more than $60 million in government support, Ontario’s agriculture sector has grown by $4.5 billion since 2018 and supports more than 850,000 jobs from all across the province.
