Replying to @dylanc78
This is such a bullshit take, and absolutely wrong in ways that should genuinely make you feel bad about yourself. The thing Russia wants is hypocrisy, which is what you're displaying by having changeable morals based upon who is doing the crime.
Russia's underlying argument is that the west is full of people who care more about themselves and their own bottom line than doing the right thing, especially if doing the right thing is hard or requires sacrifice. It is their underlying philosophy for why they attacked Ukraine, because they thought nobody would care beyond sending harshly worded letters. Its why they threaten the Baltics, because they think nobody is willing to fight and die for them. It is why they cynically offer bribes and ego boosting to western businessmen and politicians because the Russians think westerners will change their positions once their palms are greased enough. It is the fundamental core of everything they do. And you're here helping them.
You're saying fuck morals, fuck decency, fuck doing the right thing. If it benefits me, then I am okay with it. I don't care who it hurts or why or what parts of my soul I have to sacrifice to achieve it.
At the end of the day, how hard is it to simply not steal. Its not hard to say "this chart was made by such and such. they worked really hard on it, I hope you support them. you can find them at the following url". How hard is that? To give attribution to people, to recognize their work. Not to strip their names, their logos, their watermarks, and present their work as your own.

Since a few Kyiv Independent readers have asked, I’d like to explain what happened with Caolan Robertson’s video, out of respect for our supporters.
Our team found that a video on Caolan’s @CaolanReports YouTube channel included a fragment of an earlier Kyiv Independent video, used without permission and without a request for permission. It wasn’t just footage. It was an animated map that takes our team a lot of work to produce.
Importantly, Caolan’s video cropped out our logo from the fragment. Instead of crediting our work, it fully removed the attribution to the Kyiv Independent. That isn’t citation or fair use.
Our team member did what is standard when your content is used this way on YouTube: They filed a copyright report. YouTube reviewed the case and removed the video. We follow the same process whenever our work is used without permission, regardless of who the creator is.
Worth noting that a removal like this doesn’t kill the creator’s work: The video can simply be re-uploaded without the copyrighted material.
So I was surprised that Caolan instead chose to publicly attack the journalists whose work he lifted, and to appeal to journalistic solidarity in a case where he didn’t demonstrate any.
Our team has been reporting on the ground in Ukraine since before the full-scale invasion. We’re independent, funded mostly by our readers, and we earn every dime. We’re very proud of our work, from front-line reporting to war crimes investigations. We respect the work of other journalists and expect the same for ours.
I wish Caolan all the best in telling his audience about Ukraine. If he ever wants to use our work, he’s welcome to ask, like anyone else.
We are all on the same side when it comes to this: We want as many voices as possible telling the world about Ukraine. But being on the same side means respecting and crediting each other’s work. Credit matters because the reporting everyone draws on has to come from somewhere.
Thank you.

The Oleshky ceasefire should open all Ukrainians' eyes. Looks like only 4 journalists from the MAGA propaganda network NEWSMAX are allowed on the ground. Important to note Newsmax Ukraine suspiciously just opened a Ukraine branch, headed by Ukrainian journalist Liudmyla Nemyria, who is married to right wing politician Heorhii (Hryhoriy) Nemyria, a Yulia Timoshenko loyalist who was initially approached by Trump admin to build an anti-Zelensky political coalition

Russia is preparing for war in Europe, and they continue to be issued visas.
Spanish police have arrested a former Russian soldier after discovering an illegal weapons operation in Catalonia, near the French border.
Investigators uncovered a concealed workshop inside a rented warehouse in Figueres, approximately 25 kilometers from France. The facility contained 644 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, silencers and weapons components.
The seized arsenal is estimated to be worth €5 million.

Matthias Warnig.
Am Morgen des Treffens singt er unter der Dusche „It's the End of the World as We Know It“.

Far left riots in France - backed by Russia
Far right fascism in France - backed by Russia
The far left in France, with its practical endorsement of dead-end riots, has spectacularly failed to read the room. It will only weaken its chances of making it to the second round of the upcoming presidential election, where it would suffer certain defeat anyway, and that's good because, in the words of Napoleon: "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake".

Last night, Ukrainian drones finished off the Yandex data center in Vladimir, Russia. Just as the Russians were getting their hopes up, claiming that nothing serious had happened and that the Vladimir data center could be repaired, our relentless drones came back to finish the job.
Let's be clear: enormous data centers like those operated by Yandex are not particularly difficult targets for drones. First of all, data centers are buildings. Their coordinates are known, and they cannot suddenly pack up and run away. They don't have effective air defenses, and they never will, no matter what Putin promises.
Besides, inside those buildings, it was extremely hot and there was a powerful wind. Hot because thousands of computer servers were running 24/7. Windy because those overheating machines had to be cooled somehow, and the Russians chose the simplest solution: installing powerful fans that ran around the clock. What can I say? Somehow they managed to cool things down to around 60°C. :)
The result was an inferno, with the ventilation system diligently spreading the flames throughout the premises.
Obviously, after such a gigantic bonfire, a data center ceased to exist. The Vladimir facility proved particularly stubborn, so the Ukrainian Armed Forces gave it another dose of fire.
But what happened to the hundreds and thousands of businesses that relied on those destroyed data centers?
Exactly what you'd expect: back to paperwork, straight into the Stone Age.
When a data center stops working, businesses are left processing their information manually. Bring back the cashiers, expand your call centers tenfold, and don't forget the accountants. How are you going to survive without them now?
Yandex had only five major data centers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have permanently shut down three of them. And in this war, three years might as well mean forever.
P.S. Ukraine hasn't forgotten about Moscow's airports either. All four were out of operation last night, exactly as they should be.
