it's wild to hear the same people say: - sports aren't important - there aren't that many trans girls so the impact is small - but trans girls will kill themselves if they can't play on the girls team like, it just isn't a coherent set of beliefs

In woke 3 we need to hammer away the narrative that "biological male" and "trans woman" (and vice versa) are synonymous. Trans people are the biological sex they transition to via HRT period. Anything to the contrary is psuedoscience to promote transphobia.

The issue with the trans community is that they want you 100% on-board with their program or else you're not on their side. "I don't think you're truly a woman, but I will allow you to live as one" is somehow a worse position to them then the denial of their very existence.

I think most Americans are decent people. Most will not hate a transgender person just because he/she is transgender. But the sports thing is a much bigger ask, with a much higher cost. It would help transgender MtFs feel socially included. But the sheer advantages of that a biologically male athlete possesses mean that most female sports that s/he enters will become a farce. This is a high cost to pay, especially because White parents are increasingly invested in youth sports these days. The voters have chosen not to pay that cost. This is all the results mean.
