Jamaica we need to stand for peace as well.
Sounds like we need El Salvador
Well-known attorney Gordon Brown says armed gang members from outside the community are thwarting his six-year-long effort to curb squatting on sections of 167 acres of land he owns in Flamingo Beach, Trelawny. Even a private security firm, he said, has refused the job of protecting the property from being further overrun.

Many of you want to help but sometimes just don’t know how. Here’s one way.
It’s CSEC/CAPE fee time. Call your alma mater or a high school near you and offer to pay for a few subjects for a student whose fees are not fully subsidized.
For some families, even one subject makes a difference.
You could be the answer to a prayer today. 🙏🏽❤️
Today marks the official reopening of Black River Hospital following damage caused by Hurricane Melissa.
Prime Minister Dr. the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, alongside Minister of Health and Wellness, Hon. Dr. Christopher Tufton, and South Western St. Elizabeth MP, Hon. Floyd Green, will participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the facility later today.
Stay tuned for more updates.

Learnt this fact about the HMs couple years ago.
King Charles III is 1 of only 3 people who can travel anywhere on Earth legally without a passport. 🇬🇧
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Charles III does not require a British passport as all British passports are issued in his name. However, this does not grant him the right to travel anywhere as countries control their own borders. Other people can also receive passport waivers under country-specific rules.

Creole nations what do you call this?
Africa didn’t disappear with those who were taken across the Atlantic —it showed up in the food. 🌍🏝️
The Akan of Ghana 🇬🇭 call it dukunah, meaning “sweet mouth.” In Antigua 🇦🇬 , that Akan name survives.
In Jamaica 🇯🇲 , a related version is called blue draws, while in St. Martin🇸🇽 and Dominica 🇩🇲, it’s known as khankey and penmi in St Lucia 🇱🇨
The ingredients and starches changed with the islands—sweet potato in some versions, corn in others—but the African food tradition traveled with the people.
Different islands. Different names. Same African footprint.
🤣🤣🤣
