๐ WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF DRONES!
From security and defence to search and rescue, technology, and everyday applications, weโll explore how drones work and how theyโre changing the world.
Whether youโre a drone pilot, enthusiast, or just curious, youโre welcome here.
๐ Follow my page, and letโs explore the world of drones together โ one flight at a time! ๐

In terms of HUMINT, abeg give it to POLICE o!
See and Brake vs See and Avoid: Why stopping can sometimes be safer than avoiding.
When a drone detects an obstacle, automatically changing direction to avoid it might seem like the best solution. But what if the avoidance manoeuvre takes it directly into another obstacle?
This is one of the limitations of automatic obstacle avoidance.
A See and Brake system detects an obstacle and stops the drone before impact, allowing the pilot to assess the situation and choose a safer route.
Sometimes, the safest manoeuvre is not to move around an obstacle but to stop before reaching it.
Remember, obstacle detection systems are not perfect. The pilot remains responsible for safe flight.
And he finally secured the admission, congratulations, I love seeing bright men in the force
When I started planting the idea of going to study law into his head again as a second degree, there was no excuse he didnโt give me. Then I told him: what if I pay for your first year school fees? Will you consider it? He said I should give him time to think about it. Then I told him again: but you will have to resign from the police? The reason I want him to resign from the police is a topic for another day.
Lo and behold, he took the form, studied for exam and passed. In fact, he almost didnโt want to go for the exams due to an official assignment and I told him again, you see why I said you should resign from this job? But thank God the assignment was moved forward for him. After the exams, he became restless over admission and I told him: donโt worry, the will of God shall come to pass. Now here we are!
One thing I admire about him is his stubbornness and doggedness. If he puts his mind on something, he will surely do it and do it well.
Next one is marriage and InshaAllah, very soon, we will pick a date for you and you become a complete man.
Drone-in-a-Box: The future of automated surveillance.
Imagine a drone that automatically launches from its docking station, conducts a surveillance mission, returns when its battery is low, lands and recharges, all without requiring a pilot to be physically present at the launch site.
Thatโs what Drone-in-a-Box technology makes possible.
It can support security operations, border surveillance, power infrastructure monitoring, traffic management and emergency response.
Multiple docking stations could provide scheduled aerial coverage across large areas.
However, automation doesnโt eliminate the need for human supervision, safety procedures and regulatory approval.
Drones are evolving from remotely operated flying cameras into automated aerial monitoring systems.
Police suffer more from chronic underfunding and neglect.
Officials including the Police Trust Fund ES have stated the force has been underfunded and neglected for decades, with stations often limited to tiny overheads (e.g. ~N45k quarterly or fuel for ~8 litres daily) that hinder basic response.
2026 budgets show Defence at ~N3.15tn (Army alone ~N1.5tn) versus Police Affairs ~N1.33tn, plus major special interventions skewed to the military. This forces troops into routine internal duties while police capacity lags.
Middle belt is not about the region, itโs a movement of northern Christians , thatโs why when they visited PBAT they consist of people from Taraba in North East and Kebbi in North west
Even in Nigeria no agency possess intelligence like the police because they deal directly with the public
A reminder that even with multi-billion-dollar satellites (GEOINT) capable of seeing moving objects from miles above, and cyber tools (SIGINT) capable of intercepting encrypted communications, nothing replaces human intelligence! Absolutely nothing! Nothing replaces eyes and ears on the ground. Satellite cameras can't see everything, human intelligence is now the only way to fill the blind spot.
The almighty US, with its multi-billion-dollar satellite and cyber technology, is now giving a reward in exchange for information about Iran's nuclear program, the very program it claimed to have neutralized just a year ago how interesting.
Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness leaves the greatest impression.
About 20 years ago, somewhere around Okota Junction in Lagos State, I remember being stranded by the roadside on my way home from school. I was young, confused and unsure of how to cross the busy road, given the heavy flow of traffic.
A police officer (popularly known as Oga Yellow) noticed my friends and me, approached us and offered to help us cross safely. It may have been an ordinary act of kindness to that officer, but to me, it was an experience that left a lasting impression.
Two decades later, life has brought me to the other side of that experience. I am privileged to be alive and to replicate that same gesture of care, compassion and responsibility by assisting these schoolchildren.
It is a beautiful reminder that acts of kindness never go to waste. Sometimes, what you do for a child today becomes a memory, an inspiration and a standard of service they carry into tomorrow.
Beyond enforcing the law, policing is also about humanity, compassion and making a positive difference in peopleโs lives.
One simple act of kindness can leave a lasting impression.

AI Target Recognition: Drones that can identify what they see.
With computer vision and machine learning, drones can do more than capture aerial footage. They can help detect and classify vehicles, people, buildings and other objects.
Depending on the AI software and camera capabilities, they can:
Count the number of vehicles in an area.
Detect and count people in a crowd.
Identify vehicle types, such as cars, trucks and motorcycles.
Read vehicle number plates where image quality and camera resolution permit.
Track the movement of vehicles and other objects.
Detect changes or unusual activities in monitored areas.
These capabilities can transform security surveillance, traffic management, search and rescue, and infrastructure monitoring.
However, AI detection is not 100% accurate. Lighting, weather, camera angles, image resolution and environmental conditions can affect its performance. Number plate recognition, for example, requires sufficiently clear footage.
AI assists the operator; it does not replace human judgement.
The future of drones is not just about seeing more, but understanding more.
