I remember praying for MTN/GLO to find network on my dad's property for their mast installation back then because I heard they found network on this man's land, and he refused to accept any payment from the telecommunications company. Instead, he asked for a signed written agreement that the company would pay for his children's university education abroad and provide them with well-paying jobs with benefits if they ever needed them. Best decision they ever made!

Police suffer more from chronic underfunding and neglect. Officials including the Police Trust Fund ES have stated the force has been underfunded and neglected for decades, with stations often limited to tiny overheads (e.g. ~N45k quarterly or fuel for ~8 litres daily) that hinder basic response. 2026 budgets show Defence at ~N3.15tn (Army alone ~N1.5tn) versus Police Affairs ~N1.33tn, plus major special interventions skewed to the military. This forces troops into routine internal duties while police capacity lags.

Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness leaves the greatest impression. About 20 years ago, somewhere around Okota Junction in Lagos State, I remember being stranded by the roadside on my way home from school. I was young, confused and unsure of how to cross the busy road, given the heavy flow of traffic. A police officer (popularly known as Oga Yellow) noticed my friends and me, approached us and offered to help us cross safely. It may have been an ordinary act of kindness to that officer, but to me, it was an experience that left a lasting impression. Two decades later, life has brought me to the other side of that experience. I am privileged to be alive and to replicate that same gesture of care, compassion and responsibility by assisting these schoolchildren. It is a beautiful reminder that acts of kindness never go to waste. Sometimes, what you do for a child today becomes a memory, an inspiration and a standard of service they carry into tomorrow. Beyond enforcing the law, policing is also about humanity, compassion and making a positive difference in people’s lives. One simple act of kindness can leave a lasting impression. #DasoCares 👍🏿 #Police4Good 👮‍♂️

“No need to bring telecommunications into Nigeria because very few people can afford phones” …this is how people sound when they imply that Nigerians won’t be able to pay for constant electricity. When Obasanjo fixed telecommunications very few people could afford phones, today that single decision has created MoniePoint, paystack, remote work, people had the internet to even learn how to code or make money online - etc. a single decision that changed your life. And today almost everyone can afford a phone. Stop making excuses for these politicians; there are things that haven’t happened in your life yet because Nigeria doesn’t have stable power. Once it is introduced it begins to happen.

The USV is one platform @NigerianNavy should get. This platform can work on two theaters of war we have. These drones can be seamlessly integrated into Falcon Eye for oil theft and used as a drone UAV carrier and later as a kamikaze boat in Lake Chad in the fight against terror

It will impress you to know that cadets from both the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and the Police Academy (POLAC) were present at the book launch, alongside very senior serving officers and retired Generals. As I said earlier, today is truly an unforgettable day. A remarkable moment, a celebration of history, and a milestone worth remembering. #RITNA
Today is a day that will forever be remembered in history. A remarkable milestone and a moment of pride for the entire #RITNA team. I’m getting my copy of #RITNA today, and you should get yours too before it sells out. Congratulations, Sub Lt OS Akinwunmi. History has been made.

Highly recommend being friends with ambitious people. Their drive pushes you to also work hard for yourself. They inspire you to do better, be better. Their good traits rub off on you. You start to want better for yourself and you grow.

We need stronger force, reduced red tapes the main reason terrorist exploit our borders and system is the red tapes. You have series of approvals before things are done unlike terrorist who just need a phone call or might not before it is done.
Regional cooperation is vital at this moment, terrorists are exploiting our borders , we need stronger force to fight them

Location really matters in destiny. If you're based in Kogi, Ekiti, Kwara, Bayelsa or Uyo, my brother, you are very far from a successful destiny. Forget statistics quoted by that Twitter page. Seeing is believing. If you like be swallowing figures. Better travel.
