Woke fatigue was very real; whatever our goals, between ~2013 and ~2023, we got pretty obnoxious in how we pursued them and people genuinely got sick of it.
But chud fatigue…they alienated the public more in two years than we managed in a decade. Incredible stuff.

It actually IS the role of government to provide for you. Living in a society is a trade off of relinquishing some of your personal sovereignty for stability and material comfort. If the government doesn't provide you with ANYTHING you're just being oppressed

I think something along these lines is actually true, and is part of the reason the premodern world was so shockingly, and often seemingly senselessly, cruel and violent: "Ticking timebomb" levels of emotional pain were far more common.
