🇰🇪 Kenya is turning a stadium opening into a global marketing event. On January 5, 2027, Bayern Munich and Ajax will play the inaugural match at Nairobi’s new 60,000-seat Raila Odinga International Stadium, formerly known as Talanta Stadium. And with Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane expected to lead Bayern’s star power, the opening becomes much bigger than a football match. The stadium is being built for AFCON 2027, but its long-term purpose extends to international football, concerts and other major events. It will also feature 52 skyboxes, creating premium hospitality opportunities. Kenya is using global football brands to put its new infrastructure in front of an international audience.
