Lord PREM SIKKA ahead of the curve with this powerful speech asking the £1.87 BILLION question about the accountability, and culpability of ERNST & YOUNG as external Auditors to Post Office Limited.
Rightly demands that as the Single Shareholder the Government investigate the repeated failings of the @EY Audit of @PostOffice from 1999 onwards. and their contribution to the cover-up.
If no appetite within Govt then imperative for the Public Accounts Committee to serve the public interest and use their powers investigate the failings of both the Internal and External Audit functions of Post Office Limited.

Lord ARBUTHNOT asks the Government a £1.87 Billion question. What can be done about holding Auditors @EYnews accountable for failing to identify Risks and associated liabilities of Post Office Limited Annual Report & Accounts???
Chair of Royal Lail Group and Post Office Limited Sir Donald BRYDON stated the following in his written evidence to the Inquiry -
Quote
"I attended the ARC on 13 May 2010. I understood the reference to the 'Horizon Payment System' in the forward plans of Internal Audit (along with other POL matters) to be normal forward planning with regard to the major activities in POL. The Horizon System was so integral to POL, it meant that any significant issue with it of any kind, such as if there was an operational problem and the system was to go down for a few hours, could be very serious for POL's operations.
Consequently, Horizon was always an agenda item for Internal Audit at any ARC meeting as our reliance upon it posed a substantial risk to the Business"
Unquote.
THAT BEING THE CASE - WHY IS THERE NOT ONE MENTION OF 'HORIZON' IN ANY ANNUAL REPORT & ACCOUNTS UNTIL 2019❓ (and then only in relation to POLs GLO).

With representation on #HEMHIT, we see it's doing valuable work. but let's not get too excited about #HE signing up to the #UMHC - signing up achieves nothing. How many Unis truly prioritise student mental health and what accountability measures are in place? We must do more.

Pleased to see @Jacqui_Smith1 & mental health campaigner @campbellclaret on #BBCQT this week. On the eve of the release of the 2nd #HEMHIT report into supporting student mental health, it would be good to know their thoughts on why #HE still has no #dutyofcare for students
