Today, the calendar makes a right triangle, for the last time this century.
This Saturday is October 24, 2026.
Write it as 10/24/26 or 24/10/26, and the same beautiful relationship appears:
10² + 24² = 26²
100 + 576 = 676
But here’s what makes today special.
There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples. Only a handful fit our calendar.
Using the rule
month² + day² = (last two digits of the year)²,
the month cannot exceed 12, and the day cannot exceed 31. Those small limits leave exactly 12 qualifying dates in this century.
Today is the last.
The next will be March 4, 2105:
3² + 4² = 5²
That is a wait of more than 78 years.
An infinite family of triangles. Just twelve appearances on a century’s calendar.
Happy Pythagorean Triple Day.

It’s weird how following the rules and upholding the law are things that benefit the GOP
BREAKING: Supreme Court rules student IDs can’t be used to vote in New Hampshire, a win for the GOP in a Senate battleground. nbcnews.com/politics/supreme…
They failed in the House. They failed in the Senate. They failed in court three times.
Their final play: make @$*# up and break the law.
Nearly every state in this Union has a more restrictive tax cap, imposed statewide, than this local cap that NH towns may adopt on Nov 3.
Granite Staters are sick and tired of runaway property tax bills, and the union's illegal bullying won't scare them away from supporting a reasonable limit. Vote yes on Question 2 on November 3. - @Osborne4NH
Everyone scoring goals for the other team should be permanently benched, or at least for a couple seasons.
Whether a Paul Ryan-type or an "extreme right" type, everyone on the Right thinks their faction will benefit if the GOP loses badly. They all think the GOP will instantly transform into what they demand with a loss.
But that's not how politics works. People like Tillis will be even more irrelevant after the midterms, regardless of the result. These types weren't strengthened after 2018, 2020, or 2022. They continued to be diminished with each successive election.
As the DSA shows, you win by getting your candidates elected, not cheering on the sidelines for the other party to win.

If Democrats thought they could beat the property tax cap on election day, they wouldn't have sued to keep it off your ballot.
The question is on the ballot, and the decision remains with YOU.

A new program would provide free tuition for New Hampshire community college students with a family income of less than $100,000, Gov. Kelly Ayotte announced Wednesday. bit.ly/4zzQkAC
If I were X, I would delete that obnoxious account.
NH Gov @KellyAyotte has called on X to suspend the @LPNH account, currently controlled by fringe activists kicked out of the Libertarian Party.
On Wednesday, the account posted a message that NH will be "a better and freer place" when the @NHHouseDems leader "is dead."

Governor DeSantis correct as usual.
🚨Ron DeSantis has thrown an interesting name into the conversation, calling for Metallica to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, saying their music could “unite America” and that “Metallica black transcends red vs. blue.”
But there’s an interesting twist here. James Hetfield has recently spoken about keeping Metallica’s concerts away from political rallies, making it clear that the band wants the focus to remain on the music. So what do you think? Would Metallica be a great choice for the Super Bowl halftime show and bring heavy metal to one of the biggest stages in the world? Could their music really bring people together, regardless of political differences? And would you actually want to see Metallica take the halftime stage? Let us know what you think!
Today would have been Charlie Kirk’s 33rd birthday. He founded Turning Point USA at 18 and spent more than a decade on campuses making the case for limited government, free speech, and faith. His assassination was a great tragedy. His example is worth carrying forward.

Thank you to @NFIB_NH for your endorsement and for all you do to support our state’s small businesses!

The last time Democrats had a majority in the Executive Council and in the legislature, they did just this, refusing tens of millions in federal grants for education.

The biggest psyop in New Hampshire politics is “Republicans make property taxes go up.”
Your tax rate is voted on locally. Most of the bill is the school budget. The people yelling about Concord are often the same people voting yes on every warrant article in March.
Did you know NH is one of only three states to have no restraint on the growth of local property taxes?
Did you know MA and NY have far more restrictive caps statewide than the one being voted locally in NH on Nov 3rd?
Does this sound like an extremist “free stater” plot?
