Conservatives betrayed farmers over trade deals and the botched transition to ELMS, causing huge hardship… so Labour had a great opportunity that, today, they have spectacularly missed. I’m determined that Lib Dems will be the voice that farmers and rural communities deserve.
In 2023 @Keir_Starmer looked farmers in the eye & said he knew what losing a farm meant.
Farmers believed him.
After today’s budget they don’t believe him any more.

We won’t be playing party political games with social care. Instead, it is time for cross-party talks on how we fund these services, where tough but essential decisions are needed.
And above all else, unpaid carers must finally be brought out of the shadows and truly supported.
