Strengthening Bonds | Advancing Military Cooperation
A delegation of 10 Young Officers from the Vietnam People’s Army visited India from 17 to 23 October 2026 under the Young Officers Exchange Programme.
The delegation visited defence establishments and places of cultural significance in Pune, Ahilyanagar and Deolali, fostering professional exchanges, mutual understanding and camaraderie.

At the 25th SCO Council of Heads of Government Meeting in Dushanbe, Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh called for unified action to dismantle the entire ecosystem of terrorism, asserting that there can be no justification for terrorism or double standards in tackling it.

Today, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, undertakes his last sortie in the Indian Air Force, alongside his first flying instructor, Wg Cdr V S Kochar (Retd), in the same HJT-16 Kiran aircraft in which his flying journey began on 28 January 1984.
At Air Force Academy, Dundigal, the years come full circle in a moment that celebrates a lifetime of service, an enduring passion for flying and the timeless bond between a pilot and his instructor. It is also a heartfelt tribute to the veterans and mentors who have shaped generations of air warriors and continue to inspire those who follow.
From the first lesson to the final sortie in uniform, a legacy takes flight.

A team from NDRF Academy, led by Brig R Satyanarayanan, Director, NDRF Academy, conducted a lecture and demonstration session for trainees of the PRCN Senior Division Course at NCC OTA, Kamptee, on 19 Oct 2026.
The session covered key aspects of disaster preparedness, rescue operations, emergency response and disaster management, supplemented by practical demonstrations of essential response techniques. The initiative enhanced the trainees’ awareness of disaster response mechanisms and underscored the importance of preparedness, prompt action and coordinated efforts in mitigating the impact of disasters, reinforcing their role as future ANOs in promoting a culture of safety, resilience and community service.
