Hey warriors, this has to be said & I’m only going to tweet about this once - so please bear with me.
I am a blogger & a chronic pain warrior. I am also a Christian. In the 6 years that I’ve had this account & blog for, I’ve never kept my faith a secret.

You can become disabled or homeless in an instant.
Even if you’re young and healthy.
Even if you have a “good job” and a back up plan.
Even if you think you’re doing everything right.
Disability and poverty are not moral failings.
They can happen to anyone.

I pray you never learn how ignorant this is 😉

You made your whole personality about being chronically ill. You will never get better because it would destroy your sense of self.

I’m not “lazy”. I’m a motivated person trapped in a sick body.
Warriors please keep Shery of A Chronic Voice (@AChVoice) lifted in your prayers as she’s currently dealing with intense health difficulties in ICU.
Sheryl is a pillar in the chronic illness community and deserves all the support and encouragement! Stay strong Sheryl! 💝💝
I had an appointment with an ENT specialist last year who was dismissive, performed no assessments & concluded everything was fine.
I felt like something wasn’t right & wanted a second opinion.
I had an appointment today & I came out with 2 assessments & follow up booked.
It’s interesting how some people weaponise a warrior’s illness against them; but will then turn around and acknowledge they’re the most dependable and solid member of staff they have…funny that 🤔🙄 #WarriorsAtWork #ChronicPain #InvisibleIllness
Reflecting on the importance of time. It’s something we have been granted stewardship over. It’s something we ought to value and protect. If someone frequently shows you that they don’t respect nor appreciate your time, it’s okay to withdraw it from them.
One of those days where the exhaustion (both mentally and physically) is intense. Grateful that today is Friday…seriously!
Precious Warriors, if somebody has made you feel like you’re worthless and unimportant - then here’s a reminder; you ARE important. YOU MATTER. You are valuable and you are loved. We see you. God sees you & you’re not alone in this. 🫂✨

When many people state that the lockdowns caused the deepest depression they’ve ever experienced, just a reminder that many disabled people are in lockdown, five years later. Isolation is a form of torture. I want to live in a world where disabled people are wanted in society.
It’s heartbreaking to see how the onset of chronic illness and the subsequent trauma of it can create a sense of darkness and hopelessness. Especially if it causes us to feel like we’ve lost a piece of ourselves that’s irretrievable.

Truth. Some people only learn compassion for those with chronic illnesses direct first hand experience. That in itself is a shame.
Living with chronic illness is such a multi layered experience and feeling ignored, isolated and overlooked worsens it.
