MG Tomahawk EV

MG Tomahawk EV 69.2kWh Charging Curve at a 250A Charger 📈
⚡️ Peak Power: 111.5kW
🔋 Cells : LFP Prismatic ZEnergy likely
Time:
⏱️ 10–80%: 32 min
⏱️ 20–80%: 28 min
⏱️ 10–90%: 40 min
🔌 Demand voltage at 100%: 452V
Current tapering:
• 250A till 49%
• 241A at 50%
• 220A at 55%
• 200A at 61%
• 179A at 71%
The interesting part? - MG for some reason says 90kW peak & this battery pack is advertised as capable of 2C charging in other markets, suggesting it could potentially handle around 135kW. The car peaked at 111.5kW in this test, so there may be more headroom to explore.
We have also seen @BunnyPunia report 112kW at 68% SoC. Could the Tomahawk have a dynamic charging curve that varies depending on when it is plugged in, rather than following a fixed curve? Needs further testing.
The 90%+ charging data is particularly impressive:
🔋 91% - 45.4kW
🔋 95% - 39kW
🔋 99% - 25.7kW
More testing needed to understand its full charging potential.

A CNG user drives his car in a very different manner as compared to a petrol one.
He clearly bought one for low running costs and this also means even for highway drives, he will not gun it - but keep it around the 80/85 km/h mark.
Driven this way, how much did the Tata Aeris CNG go without needing a re-fill? I was surprised with the number, even you will be!
PS: The highest CNG capacity in the segment does help here.

Used EV sales surge 40% while used diesel sales fell off a cliff.
New figures from Autotrader reveal a significant shift in the UK used car market, with demand for second-hand electric vehicles soaring.
And it’s not looking particularly good for diesel.
According to the latest figures for September 2026, when compared with figured from September 2025…
Used EV demand UP 40%
Diesel demand DOWN 19.2%
Petrol demand DOWN 5.8%
But here’s where things get even more interesting…
Electric vehicles were the ONLY fuel type to record an annual increase in used car prices.
Electric car values UP 2.8%
Petrol car values DOWN 1%
Diesel car values DOWN 0.8%
Some individual electric models have performed particularly well:
Renault Zoe UP 15.2%
MG5 UP 10.9%
Skoda Enyaq UP 10.5%
Of course, not every EV is increasing in value, but the overall trend is significant.
A combination of increasingly affordable used electric cars, and EV demand growing considerably faster than supply, and it’s helping support used electric car values.
For years, we’ve heard that nobody wants second-hand electric cars, that they lose all their value and that buyers are avoiding them.
Yet the latest real-world market data tells a very different story.
The transition to electric isn’t just happening in the new car market.
It’s increasingly evident in the used car market too.
