Not sure the ancient Greeks never came up with this but a nation ruled by assholes would be a "proctocracy"
"It's definitely not because the crowds are small and he says lots of weird butt stuff," a source added
NEWS: Trump's in-person Iowa rally this weekend, scheduled for Dubuque on Sunday, has been canceled and replaced with a tele-rally, according to three sources familiar with the decision. The idea is to maximize Trump’s time and reach as many voters as possible, one source said, and tele-rallies allow him to cover more ground.

This religious test for holding public office would disqualify every religious minority from elected office. This is straight-up Islamophobic and antisemitic, and everyone needs to call it out.
Moreno said the quiet part out loud: There's no place for Jewish or Muslim Americans in the GOP's vision for America.

There's a desperate need to believe that The Establishment wants El-Sayed to lose, and since Obama and Harris campaigning for him is making that difficult (to say nothing of tens of millions from the DSCC), they have to settle for Haley Stevens's fiance.

Part of being a Republican is apparently worshipping the Constitution without fucking reading it.
It explicitly bans religious tests for federal office. You don’t have to accept Jesus as your savior to serve in the Senate.
I don’t like Abdul, but disliking him isn’t an excuse to entertain MAGA’s religious bullshit. His constitutional rights are ours, too.

If I spent months actively hyping up a Nazi tattooed rapist as someone who was 'ready to remake the party' and 'meet the moment', and then when it predictably came out that he was accused of rape, I literally did not acknowledge it a single time, I would not be going around lecturing people on 'reflecting.'
But that's just me. I have shame. And some decency.

It saddens me that despite current political discourse being suffused with the word "genocide" that we so little consider the Russia-Ukraine war as an instance of it
Ukrainian publishing house KSD has released video showing the destruction of its warehouse after a Russian attack on October 27.
According to KSD, approximately 300,000 books were housed at the site. The extent of the salvagable stock is still unknown, as heavy smoke damaged even the copies left untouched by flames and water.
Russia has been burning Ukrainian books, banning our language, repressing and executing writers for centuries in attempts to erase our culture and language.

first Gloria Steinem then Dolly Parton and now Dolores Huerta…women who gained us rights for generations all dying in a year where we’re seeing those same rights on the ballot.

Perhaps people have forgotten or were too young to remember but when conservatives swear to you that Obama was a divisive president, it’s because of stuff like this. He would say the most innocuous thing and we would get days of “Dem elitist” commentary from conservative media and pundits.
Again, it’s not lost on me that Obama compared Trump’s taste to that of Saddam Hussein in the same breath, and that Trump literally said he didn’t care about high gas prices the same day, yet none of that broke through. Because perceived threats to white cultural hegemony are actually what most of the last 10 years of politics have been about.
It’s the same reason why a Democrat’s career would be over for trashing Toledo, Ohio, why we still talk about Hillary’s “deplorables” gaffe, but Republicans say awful things about America’s largest cities and deny them federal funds and there’s barely a whimper of outrage.
the cheesecake factory discourse a back to the future reminder of what 2008-2016 was like on here. Obama makes funny joke revealing he's like the average American (fluent enough in gaudy chain restaurants to jest about a specific chain). GOPers decide it means he's not #oneofus. This goes on for days...

Trump is exhausting himself doing all these campaign stops. He's doing them because he wants to pretend he's running for President again. Hearing huge crowds cheer for him is the only part of the job he likes. He desperately craves the love and adoration.

I want Abdul to win because I don't don't want months of liberal-leftist infighting. I'd much rather spend that time gloating and discussing all the ways we're going to stick it to Trump and Republicans come January.

"The liberal media" says basically nothing, but they'll ask every Democrat across the country 20 times to comment about a podcaster in Hollywood that 98% of Democrats never heard of until "the news"/GOP chose to make him into "an issue" for Democrats.
How about "It looks like Saddam Hussein opened a Cracker Barrel"?
