History must illuminate minds, not imprison them in ideological prejudices. Madam #RomilaThapar reminds us the past demands critical inquiry, not convenient narratives. When evidence yields to political or religious agendas, history risks becoming propaganda rather than a pursuit of truth. thehindu.com/news/national/h…

Being born into affluence, possessing a luxury automobile, or belonging to a political dynasty does not inherently invalidate one’s commitment to communism. #Communism is an ideological conviction, not a certificate of poverty. I often tell my students that, philosophically speaking, a baby’s first cry may be interpreted as the most rudimentary assertion of a fundamental right, the instinctive demand for nourishment, care, and survival. Although an infant is incapable of comprehending political ideology, that primordial cry symbolises an innate human need and the instinct to secure what is essential for existence. Therefore, before branding @neha_aisa Neha Bora a fraud merely because she or her family may possess an expensive car, we must learn to distinguish ideological commitment from personal affluence. Scrutinise her arguments, interrogate her actions, and expose any demonstrable contradictions in her principles. But condemning someone’s political convictions solely on the basis of their family’s wealth is intellectual superficiality, not a substantive critique of ideology.

It is deeply disturbing that so many children go missing in a single month. This is a serious failure of child protection that demands urgent action and accountability. I’m also proud that journalism is still alive because of fearless journalists like you, Jeeva and Subash @sjeeva26 @Subash_tweetz When truth is compromised, your courage and integrity give us hope. Keep questioning power, exposing the truth, and standing for justice. Be bolder, stay principled, and continue to make a difference. Society needs journalists like you.

#dorothy , a Poignant Celebration of Love and Humanity, is a remarkable cinematic exploration of love, compassion, and the enduring triumph of humanity over materialism and prejudice. Ramu Military Hotel assumes a significant narrative role, while the mystery surrounding the death of Dorothy ( daughter-in-law) invites deeper reflection on relationships, responsibility, and the complexities of human nature. The painting of #FatimaSheikh displayed before Ramu Military Hotel particularly captivates me. As a humble teacher, I watch cinema not merely as entertainment but through the discerning lens of literature, history, and human values. The film’s profound message transcends conventional gender distinctions: “Humanity has no gender; empathy has no boundaries.” This powerful assertion challenges male chauvinism and envisions a future in which compassion becomes the defining characteristic of human existence. What remains unforgettable is Dorothy’s ultimate reawakening through love and understanding. The film gently reminds us that wealth cannot measure human worth, prejudice cannot extinguish compassion, and love remains our most transformative force. Yes, Dorothy is an eloquent testament to humanity, beautifully underscored by Ilaiyaraaja’s music, now streaming on #Netflix

#TamilNadu tops civic behaviour in India Today's #GDBSurvey2025 . Kerala leads the overall GDB Index linking literacy with civic sense. Punjab and Uttar Pradesh rank lowest in civic responsibility. The India Today Gross Domestic Behaviour Survey 2025 offers a detailed look at civic responsibility and social conduct across 21 states and one Union Territory. 👇🏻 gdb.indiatoday.in/ #justsharing 👉🏻Tamil Nadu, which was once like that…
Heard that @trishtrashers created a public nuisance and a traffic chaos in Gandhipuram. Tax payers are jokers in this country and our land fallen under cine industry for no reason.

Remembering and saluting the valiant Maruthu Pandiyar brothers, Periya Maruthu and Chinna Maruthu, who sacrificed their lives in the struggle against British colonial rule on 24 October 1801 at Tiruppathur, Sivaganga district. Their courage and sacrifice remain an enduring part of Tamil Nadu’s history. Veera Vanakkam.

A compelling reflection shared by a senior doctor friend invites us to examine the delicate boundary between institutional obedience and intellectual independence. This is a thoughtful piece and worth reading. “The convention restricting government servants from political expression has deep #colonial roots and is intended to preserve administrative impartiality. Still, an important question remains: should institutional discipline necessitate intellectual submission? Imagine a medical officer opposing vaccination or family planning on ideological grounds, or an individual invoking religious orthodoxy to legitimise untouchability. Personal convictions cannot supersede scientific evidence, constitutional morality, or human dignity. Equally, civil servants are duty-bound to implement constitutionally valid government policies, notwithstanding their personal disagreements. However, administrative neutrality must not become an indiscriminate injunction against informed public discourse. Recalling his advocacy on the dangers of nuclear radiation, my friend described being cautioned by a police officer for allegedly contravening government policy. His response underscored a fundamental principle: scientific responsibility does not invariably yield to institutional discomfort. The enduring challenge is to reconcile administrative impartiality with intellectual freedom, professional conscience, and the moral courage to illuminate inconvenient truths.” A democracy is strengthened not by silencing dissent, but by having the wisdom to distinguish principled criticism from institutional disloyalty. True public service demands not merely the courage to obey, but also the conscience to question when truth, science, and constitutional values are at stake. @AmalJos95950131 (Note : Government employees need no perpetual reminders of colonial-era restrictions. Governance must inspire professional integrity, not cultivate intellectual subservience. A government confident in its legitimacy does not fear dissent; it answers it with reason, not regulation.)

This is not just a social failure; it is a failure of governance. #TamilNadu, a state that prides itself on social justice must not allow caste discrimination and humiliation over food to persist. The @CMOTamilnadu must personally intervene and ensure justice, accountability, and dignity for the child.
