This is actually a shocker. Itโs the way I always felt, that partisanship is absolutely a cop out to addressing real problems.
Unfortunately, to go farther than this, partisanship has become a game of one-upsmanship. Parties started striving for division rather than unity a long time ago.
Thatโs when I decided that I was done playing the game. People would rather vote based on what some talking heads told them, rather than do the work to reach their OWN conscious decision.
And thatโs the problem with social media. Itโs become, especially in politics, the new form of peer pressure that we were taught to avoid at all costs when we were growing up.

You know those disparaging people that hate us? The ones that โcanโt wait for autonomous?โ
Yea, they wonโt care where the technology comes from suddenly.. China, Russia, wherever. As long as it gets us off the road.
Until that Chinese Lidar malfunctions (or works as intended, pick your poison) and crushes a few hundred people. Then theyโll beg for us to come back.
And if we are smart, collectively, theyโll have to pay us what weโre freaking worth before we do.

Iโm a tad bit confused..
I was under the impression that the John Cena Classic was supposed to be an exposure tournament.
Iโm pretty sure Cody doesnโt need exposure..

At least for now. He gave me a 3 month until I can see my cardiologist and get a new echo..
But at least Iโm not grounded

Also a friendly reminder that partisanship is a joke and at this stage of its evolution, detrimental to the country.
Any political group that seeks to undermine unity as a country is not healthy for said country.
From a drivers perspective, you say this like itโs a bad thing ๐
๐ Werner Says Capacity Cuts Just Started.
Werner Enterprises CEO Derek Leathers estimated that 3โ4% of trucking capacity has already exited, while roughly 15% was operating outside current regulations.
He said enforcement is expanding beyond drivers to CDL schools, license issuance, and B-1 visa cabotage violations, with the latter โonly really just getting started.โ
Leathers also cited industry data showing driver application rejection rates have climbed 170% since January, while trucking school enrollment has fallen 20โ30%.
Higher insurance costs, stricter carrier vetting, and litigation risks are making it harder for new operators to enter the market. Leathers expects further capacity reductions and rising freight rates through year-end.

Iโm counting the days until some tech-savvy Owner Op creates the first Grok Bot planner/dispatcher.

I went to Indian Hills CDL Academy. I canโt speak enough volume on how much they prepared me, not just for the job but for the road. Coupled with my old manโs tutelage, I feel that I was better prepared for it than any other โnon-companyโ school out there. Even with getting started at 40 years old, and my instructor calling me a โford ranger shifterโ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ iykyk)
But Congressman Nunn, with all due respect, there is no driver shortage. There is a shortage of employers willing to pay those drivers (the good ones, the qualified ones) what they deserve.
The ITA is spoon feeding you talking points and you likely havenโt really done the leg work to find out for yourself.
At any rate, I want to congratulate @indianhills on the pad renovation, because that gravel patch was a pain, especially in the Iowa winter ๐คฃ
America needs 40,000 more truckers, and filling that gap means giving more Americans the training and tools to build a career behind the wheel.
Weโre tackling it from both sides: leading bipartisan legislation to give new drivers up to $10,000 in tax credits and delivering $1 million for a new CDL training pad at Indian Hills.
