I do not expect politicians to act like pastors.
But I do expect pastors to act like pastors, and not like politicians.
Never attribute to coincidence that which is adequately explained by providence.

Ok. I can’t believe this just happened. My kid is sitting in a beach chair with his hand casually in the sand, & suddenly goes “oh my god look.” He pulls up a girls wedding band. It says “April 16, 2016 I love you.” This was gone FOREVER until now. Seagrove, Fla…Find this lady!
I was out of the country for ministry purposes this past week in a beautiful, faraway land. We returned late last night.
The CBP officer asked, “Where is home for you?”
“Dallas. East Dallas.”
“Welcome home.”
The words she had said 10,000 times before struck me as singular.
And as we drove east on 635 towards Lake Highlands not long after dark, we were able to see countless fireworks shows, each spark a gratitude for this place we call home.
I do love this country.
I pray for her continued maturity towards truer love, justice, and righteousness.
As the World Cup kicks off, there may not be a better primer for fans of the #USMNT than this docuseries.
U.S. Against the World is on HBO and it’s so great. Strongly recommend.
Before the World Cup kicks off here next month, watch U.S. Against the World and meet the @USMNT.
You don’t need to be into soccer. If you care about pressure, sacrifice and young guys giving everything to make the country proud, this is for you.
HBO Original. Now on HBO Max.

A politician should not have to have a death sentence for voters to reward them for saying true things plainly.

Every year, we celebrate by watching
Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth
It’s an animated short on AppleTV based on the book of the same name by Oliver Jeffers.
The animation is wonderful and it celebrates life and beauty so wonderfully.

Astronaut Victor Glover reflects on Easter and the beauty of Creation from space.
“We have this beautiful place that we get to exist together…As we go into Easter Sunday…[I see] this as an opportunity to think about where are, who we are and that we’re all the same thing.”
