Elektra is a Dutch independent artist, musician, poet, filmmaker, and writer of Estonian origin, celebrated for her genre-defying work in experimental pop, classical, electronic, and avant-garde music. She has been active since around 2004 and is signed to Blowpipe Records. A professionally trained pianist, vocalist, and dancer, she employs a multidisciplinary approach, weaving themes of dreams, internal vs. external worlds, duality (e.g., light and dark, love and hatred), mythology, and emotional intensity to evoke profound emotions. Unless otherwise specified, she writes, records, produces, creates music videos, and illustrates her work, maintaining complete artistic control. Elektra’s music fuses poetic lyricism with experimental soundscapes, enriched by her skills as a trained pianist and vocalist, with performances likely incorporating her dance background for a dynamic visual element. Her releases are typically limited-edition vinyls, CDs, or digital downloads.

Melva Cornell in a publicity photo taken almost a century ago - for the only film she ever appeared with a credit - Fox's "Movietone Follies of 1929". The film is now lost, destroyed in the infamous vault fire of 1937. Despite her stunning red-headed beauty, Cornell never made it in films, and instead worked behind the scenes. Her life had great sadness with her beloved husband dying young in 1941, followed 4 years later by her only child dying of leukemia at the age of 6. Melva remained single for the rest of her life and died in 1960 at age 55. This photo was inscribed to her fellow red-headed friend Myrna Loy

“Ivan’s Childhood.” Directed by Andrei Tarkovsky. 1962.
His first feature film. Based on a story by Vladimir Bogomolov. The war through the eyes of a boy scout. Ivan has no childhood left. It only comes back to him in dreams.
In the frame is a birch grove. Captain Kholin and the nurse Masha. Kholin was played by Valentin Zubkov. Masha was played by Valentina Malyavina. She was 20 then. She was a first-year student at the Moscow Art Theatre School. The scene was shot in a grove outside Moscow, and it was not an easy shot.
The film won the Golden Lion in Venice in 1962. For Tarkovsky it was the start of a world name.

I accidentally found out you can pop the 𝕏 birthday balloons. Feeling like a true scientist now. 😄🎊
PS: It’s great to be perpetually 34! 🤪
Finally! Dan Jones’s “Castles - A Fortified History of the World” is in da casa!
I love castles, I love books, I love castles with books, and I love books about castles! 🏰⚔️🧨
Dude….
Lol. I thought I was alone in this, but apparently not. I, too, think it’s ugly. In fact, few days ago I decided to stop using it altogether.
The longest one is the Em Dash (—). Then there’s the En Dash (–). And lastly (-) the Hyphen.
You can locate all three under the options of (-).
As for AI: no comment.
I spent most of my adult life consciously removing filters (biases). Ninjutsu mind training started this. One can be mistaken into thinking that I’m an idealist. I am not. I am simply curious.
I just did the most extensive IPIP-300 Personality Test. (Found this one via Grok).
I scored 100th percentile on Conscientiousness and
0th percentile on Neuroticism!
What surprised me though is that I scored 66th percentile on Extraversion, defined by
- 98th percentile on Activity (You prefer extremely high levels of activity, such as being on the go and staying busy)
- 89th percentile on Assertiveness (There're very high chances that you'll take charge and lead others)
- 89th percentile on Cheerfulness (You experience very high levels of happiness, joy and other positive emotions)
- 16th percentile Excitement Seeking (You like to seek very low levels of thrills)
- 64th percentile Friendliness.
.... but I am still an Introvert in daily life, it's just that when I'm around others I make the best of it! And it took me a long time to learn these skills.
I also scored:
- 94th percentile on Modesty
- 97th percentile on Morality, yet
- 21st percentile on Trust (in others).
As for 100th percentile on Conscientiousness, its six facets:
- Achievement Striving - 98th perc.
- Cautiousness - 96th perc.
- Dutifulness - 97th perc.
- Orderliness - 97th perc.
- Self-Discipline - 99th perc.
- Self-Efficacy - 98th perc.
The 0th percentile on Neuroticism:
- Anger - 2nd perc. (Yes, but when I do get angry...)
- Anxiety - 3rd perc. (Really, lol?)
- Depression - 4th perc. (Hm. Okay...)
- Immoderation - 1st perc. (Yes.)
- Vulnerability - 2nd perc. (Meaning: feeling overwhelmed by difficult situations. True.)
Furthermore:
- Adventurousness - 89th perc.
- Artistic Interests - 90th perc.
- Emotionality - 29th perc.
- Intellect - 95th perc.
- Liberalism - 1st perc. (Ha! Yeah, baby!)
All by all, this was interesting!

Pampering your kids and telling them they’re “special” a.o.t. is a form of abuse imo.
The West is on a path of self-destruction. It starts with how the children are raised.
Where I grew up, children were children.
They knew their place, yet adults didn’t disempower them. You will be addressed equally starting from the moment you can utter your ideas.
You will never be pampered. Upbringing is strict, but just. No one will be saying how “special” you are; because no one is.
What will be emphasized is your uniqueness - to add to the collective.
Individuality is very important. In fact, it is an essential part of your upbringing. But it has to serve others.
Celebrating your uniqueness is never an issue, because others will be drawn to it and feel inspired to get more from their own potential.
You will be expected to shine more, not less, as that is considered a natural state.
Mediocrity will not be expected, nor will it be celebrated.
Dreaming big and working hard becomes second nature by the time you reach adulthood.
Heart’s passion, and expression of it, both personally and professionally, will be an essential part of your upbringing.
You will be taught that actions are more important than words, that if you make promises you keep them, and that you take accountability for your wrongdoings.
Boys learn cherishing and protecting from their mothers, who don’t cater to them.
Fathers spend quality time with their boys, while girls are naturally more drawn to their mothers.
The ways of relating will be taught to you from an early age, as having a fulfilling relationship is considered as important as getting an education.
Empathy, friendship, love, belonging, spirituality, beauty, culture, intellect - will be watered like plants and put in a good dosage of healthy sunshine.
Sadness, disappointments, rejection, and other aspects of life: your parents will make sure you will learn to grow past them, without denying their existence.
You will learn to always be there for your friends. In fact, the well-developed empathy of your friends won’t allow you to hide, especially when you face life’s challenges.
Yet what are children taught nowadays? Is it really this surprising that things are not going well in the West?
