Is it not obvious that a peace treaty with the current Russian government, without a substantial security presence in Ukraine on the part of its partners, would just be abused and used by Russia for further attacks?
The presence of a foreign defence force must be a redline that Ukraine, and its allies, set for any peace agreement. Russia cannot be trusted.

Full Charge for Air Defense project is fully funded!
That covers generators, Starlink terminals, and power stations for the Anti-Aircraft Missile-Artillery Battalion's positions.
Air defence runs on seconds. A crew has to see the target, coordinate with command, and fire before it is past them. Power and a stable connection are what make those seconds possible. Without them, a position is just people standing in a field.
And it has to stay quiet. The power stations run silently with no fuel resupply, so there's no engine noise or heat signature to give away their position.

In reality this is what Russia considers the 'threat' that it will become unable to blackmail its neighbours through economic means.
There has never been a threat post WWII to invade Russia, no one has sort to actively harm the country. It requires a twisted world view to see Russia as a victim by any measure.
Russia's real interest is in the right to bully and the right to dominate.

Eastern Europe and Central Asia will gradually move into Europe’s economic orbit.
Except for Belarus, all Russia’s European neighbours already trade more with Europe than with Russia.
We will keep widening the gap, eroding Russia’s influence over them.
Russia will be left economically devastated and surrounded by countries integrated with Europe.
Any military attempt to stop this process will be defeated, just as in Ukraine.
Russia will regret its 2022 invasion of Ukraine for the rest of the century.

💔 Ukraine has lost another young defender.
Diana Horun, a 23-year-old Ukrainian combat medic from Hnizdychiv in the Lviv region, was killed by a Russian drone strike in the Donetsk region.
Born in 2003, Diana served under contract as a senior combat medic in a strike drone company. Despite her young age, she chose to dedicate her life to saving Ukrainian soldiers.
She stood by her fellow soldiers until the very end, fulfilling her duty with courage and devotion.
Just 23 years old. An entire life ahead of her, stolen by Russia's war.
My deepest condolences to Diana's family, friends, and fellow soldiers.
Rest in peace, Diana. Ukraine will never forget your sacrifice. 🇺🇦💔
