It’s NOT for Jamie Bryson, the DUP or the Orange Order to decide who the First Minister is.
The people across the north decided Michelle O’Neill should be their First Minister. Michelle is going nowhere.
There is no going back to the days of ‘no nationalist need apply’.

It didnt take too long for last night's parade to show its true face. Minutes after Lockhart and senior members of Portadown walked by playing the victims, the sectarian, anti Catholic hate tune "No Pope" was given a blast.
The O.O. is a hate organisation, nothing more.

A great Irishman who had the courage of his convictions to not be bullied into wearing a poppy, stood with his people, 14 of whom were slaughtered by Crown forces on Bloody Sunday. Yeah he’s made mistakes, we all do. He’s not perfect, nobody is. But he’s a great Irishman. ✊🇮🇪

15,000 people we were told.
The side streets were packed we were told.
These people couldn’t tell the truth if their lives depended on it.

Be clear what this is: A senior DUP politician wants to collapse the govt cause an extremist Protestant group wasn’t able to parade through a Catholic area in a majority Protestant town.
Supremacist thinking recognised for what it is the world over.
DUP MP @carlalockhart has addressed thousands at a rally in Portadown this evening.
“Profound consequences must mean profound consequences . Michelle O’Neill must go. That’s where I
stand and this lady is not for turning.”

Considering this video shows the OO walking through a shared space unrestricted and being enjoyed by supporters, it further begs the questions of why they feel its necessary to walk through a nationalist residential area....
Parade underway in Portadown. Thousands have turned up in support of local Orangemen who want to march along the Garvaghy Road. @UTVNews

An apparent attempt to ‘criminalise’ the political leadership of Irish nationalism and republicanism here for exercising the right to protest peacefully in solidarity with a historically traumatised and vulnerable community.
Welcome to … 2026.

Imagine nationalists parading and holding a rally in Derry demanding the right to parade through the unionist Fountain estate.
That is an exact parallel to what the Orangemen & Unionist leadership are demanding.
That mindset is *the* issue. It needs to be confronted head on.
LIVE | The cold weather hasn’t deterred crowds from gathering in Portadown’s Watson Street to support Portadown District Lodge’s Parade through the town.
The parade has now begun, with 26 bands taking part.

Portadown district has 900 members, there is 660 active loyalist bands in occupied Ulster, only 29 bothered to show an interest, the reality is, outside of Portadown there isn't much of an appetite for this nonsense, it's pathetic.
Prediction.
Carla Blackheart upping her staunchness to impress Jim Allister. He wants to poach her. It would be a huge coup for the TUV. She wants to join with an eye on leadership when Jim retires
Going to be a lot of noses out of joint in both parties

Jamie, without Twitter you'd be standing on an upturned milk crate outside Belfast City Hall, delivering your latest revolutionary proclamation to three Saturday shoppers and a pigeon. Yet somehow you've convinced yourself you're the commander-in-chief of unionism, given Unionism is all over the show, you found a gap- well done, you. Ffs, the delusions of grandeur are extraordinary, amusing as feck, but still delusional
You keep insisting this isn't a political rally, yet you've spent multiple posts promoting it like you're personally organising the Second Coming, putting yourself front and centre .
At this stage, it sounds less like an Orange Order event and more like a political slumber party for yourself, Carla Lockhart and Jim Allister. All that's missing is a flatbed truck, three microphones and a competition to see who can mention Sinn Féin, human rights, nationalists and Ireland most often before bedtime; my money is on Jim 'I walked away from Ulster resistance before it got scary," Allister.
And where exactly is the Orange Order in all this? It's supposedly their event, yet we hear considerably more from you than from the people you're claiming to support. The 35 Orangemen must be wondering when they'll actually get a word in, although given you keep telling us they are "old men", they really should be able to remember how divisive their presence at Drumcree was and how it cost both sides of the community
At this stage, Jamie, your political allegiances are another spectacle altogether. Who will it be next week? I see you are now running Robinson into the ground. FFS, one minute you're championing one unionist politician, the next you're practically hanging off the arm of another. Whoever gives you a passing glance or a few minutes of attention suddenly becomes your latest political soulmate. It's like watching political speed dating, except you're the only one who thinks it's a serious relationship. Embarrassing doesn't begin to cover it.
You've spent the last few weeks behaving like a child who got Twitter for Christmas and hasn't put the bloody thing down. Another proclamation, another dramatic warning, another Paisley "LITE" impression from the comfort of your armchair. Even Paisley occasionally stopped talking
Strip away the flags, the theatrical speeches and the enormous self-importance, and you're still a loyalist blogger with a background in picking up criminal convictions and despatching the odd taxi, not the commander-in-chief of unionism.
The irony is delicious. You're telling everyone this isn't political while treating Portadown like your own personal party conference.
And when the microphones are packed away, Twitter goes quiet, and the crowd goes home, you'll still be Jamie Bryson. The milk crate will be waiting outside City Hall, big fella
