Of course not.
Do you think someone should be able to have multiple wives?
Of course not. These marriages are illegal in the UK, and have been for hundreds of years.
But a loophole in our benefits system recognises polygamous marriages if they take place abroad. A man with four wives can receive more than ยฃ75,000 a year in benefits.
With the support of @KemiBadenoch and @Helen_Whately, I want to close this loophole through my Bill.
Polygamy and incest are illegal in the UK. British taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for these perverted unions.
As I explained to the unfailingly courteous @Jacob_Rees_Mogg the @Conservatives will end this for good.

We got a furious response from the former Conservative minister Lord Michael Gove when we asked about his position on Israel at the Labour Conference.
Gove claimed he knew more about antisemitism than Zack Polanski, the only Jewish leader of a major political party in the UK. He also accused us of not being journalists and of an obsession with Israel, despite the Labour government's change in position on the occupation of Palestine being the key topic at this year's conference.
Gove now sits in the House of Lords and is editor of right-wing magazine The Spectator.

Could you imagine thinking that proscribing Hamas is a โbarrier to peaceโ?
The co-leader of the Scottish Greens, Ross Greer MSP, said that designating Hamas as a terror group is โa mistakeโ and a โbarrier to peaceโ.
Mr Greer said that while the โmilitary wingโ should be proscribed, the โpolitical wing needs to be engaged withโ.
Of course there is no substantive distinction between the political and military wings of Hamas, which is a paramilitary terrorist organisation that achieves its ends through violence.
One wonders if the Scottish Greens would be so forgiving if Hamas so relentlessly targeted an ethnic group other than the Jews.
Given that their English sister party believes that Zionism is racism โ a belief that Hamas essentially shares โ perhaps this generosity towards an Islamist group that has murdered well over 1,000 Jews is not altogether surprising.
