The Holy Grail of Dungeons & Dragons history is up for auction.
This is absolutely incredible.
Gary Gygaxβs original, handwritten Greyhawk Castle manuscripts from 1973β1976 are currently being auctioned by The Collectorβs Trove.
And these arenβt reproductions or later interpretations of Castle Greyhawk. These are Garyβs actual dungeon maps, handwritten keys, notes, and original illustrations from the earliest days of D&D.
The collection includes material from the original Greyhawk Castle created in 1973, before Dungeons & Dragons was even published, along with the expanded castle Gary developed between 1974 and 1976.
Weβre talking about the legendary dungeons explored by Robilar, Tenser, Murlynd, and so many other characters whose adventures became part of D&D history.
According to the auction description, the manuscripts contain dozens of dungeon levels, handwritten encounters, and ten original illustrations by Gary himself, including an early drawing of the carrion crawler with his handwritten creature statistics on the reverse!
And perhaps my favorite detail of all?
Some of this priceless gaming history was preserved inside a battered 29-cent package of quadrille graph paper.
Just think about that.
More than fifty years ago, Gary was sitting at a table in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, drawing dungeon corridors, stocking rooms with monsters and treasure, and creating adventures for his friends.
No computers. No fancy publishing software. Just pencils, graph paper, dice, and an extraordinary imagination.
And from those humble beginnings came a game that would change millions of lives, including mine.
As Iβm writing this, bidding has already reached $61,300, and the reserve hasnβt even been met.
I sincerely hope whoever ultimately acquires these remarkable manuscripts recognizes their historical importance and works to preserve them for future generations.
Because these arenβt simply old maps from a famous D&D campaign.
These are the actual dungeons where Dungeons & Dragons was born.
What an extraordinary piece of our hobbyβs history to see come to light after more than half a century.

Oh my gosh! Poor Steve!
Steve, a tiny dibbler at Perth Zoo, reportedly helped save his endangered species without ever becoming a father. Female dibblers prefer larger mates, and Steve was too small and apparently didn't smell appealing. Keepers used him as the first male females encountered during breeding trials. After meeting Steve, females found the next males more attractive and were more willing to mate. According to the zoo, Steve lived a long life as an unlikely conservation hero.

π¨#BREAKING: Two TEEN BROTHERS are being hailed as HEROES after they RESCUED a Florida mom and her little boy who were TRAPPED on their kitchen counter with their 3 dogs as floodwater filled their home...
...the mother called 911 THREE TIMES and no one could come, then two TEEN BROTHERS grabbed a kayak and a paddleboard and went and SAVED THEM!!!
ALL OF THEM made it out, the dogs too!!!! β€οΈ
The t names are Jonah and Lucas Marshall.
Jonah is 15. Lucas is 17. They live in Palm Bay, Florida.
This week, Palm Bay got slammed by some of the worst flooding the city has ever seen.
Brittany Grant and her son climbed up on their kitchen counter with their three dogs as the water kept rising inside the house.
No way out.
She called 911.
Then she called again.
Then she called a THIRD time... and was told there were no emergency resources available because of the flooding.
So she did the only thing left. She posted on Facebook.
A mother saw that post and her two boys didnβt wait around.
Jonah borrowed a neighborβs KAYAK and Lucas grabbed his PADDLEBOARD.
Together with another neighbor, they paddled through the floodwater to a house full of strangers.
Jonah says they didnβt even think about it, those people were in danger, so they just went.
Lucas admits it was a little nerve-wracking... but he figured they were strong and able, so why not.
By the time they got there, Brittany and her son had been stuck on that counter for MULTIPLE HOURS.
Lucas got the little boy out FIRST.
And the whole way, he kept him talking so he wouldnβt be scared.
Whatβs your name? Howβs school going?
Then he told him: βThis is a weird day, isnβt it?β
A 17-year-old kid, in the middle of a flood, making a scared little boy feel normal. π
The brothers got Brittany, her son, and ALL THREE DOGS to dry land.
Brittany says if it werenβt for them, she doesnβt know how they would have gotten out.
And she says neighbors she had NEVER MET restored her faith in humanity.
The next generation isnβt lost, folks.
Some of them are paddling into floodwater when no one else can come.
GOD BLESS Jonah and Lucas Marshall, and GOD BLESS the mama who raised them.
THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!! πΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ

With all due respect, the number of times I spoke with Paul Ryan from my election as governor through the 2024 campaign: zero.
And Mitt Romney was attacking me back then because we beat Disney on gender ideology and he is a corporatist.
Try demonstrating a little more discernment next time someone is peddling bullshβ to you.
Now THIS is the Ron DeSantis that I wanted to see on the National Stage the last time he ran for President, but didnβt deliver on!
Unfortunately, he allowed Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan advise him back then, when Americans knew how RINOβish those two were back then. So there advise made him look like a fool.
But now, his confidence is back β¦ βI saw NO INDICATION that Republican senators were interested in doing conservative change! WHY haven't we done immigration, SHUT OFF H1B visas?! WHY haven't we CODIFIED Trump's immigration executive orders?! Why haven't we STRIPPED jurisdiction from the federal courts over deportation cases?! There's SO MANY THINGS we COULD HAVE DONE."
"THEY DIDN'T EVEN ATTEMPT IT."
"They say, 'oh, if only we needed 50 votes we would've done it!' YOU DON'T HAVE 50 VOTES. You NEVER SHOWED you'd do conservative things, even with 50 votes! [RE: filibuster]...I NEVER saw an indication that they'd do it."
"This midterm was a rebuke of the president and Congress...BUT, a LOT of our voters stayed home because they were FRUSTRATED with the LACK of productivity from Republicans in the House and Senate."
We definitely deserved better from our Senate, something John Thune did not want to deliver. Now, we need to repair and win in 2028, or Democrats are destroying America!

The movie has many deep flaws.
By the end of the film, Humanity is living in ONeill cylinders. Okay.
They're living in ONeill cylinders...out near Jupiter.
Why?
Earth, being what it is, is still valuable. No, people are not going to suffocate (there's so much free oxygen on our planet it beggars belief, the geological epochs it would take for that to happen aren't on any understandable human scale and it presumes we wouldn't solve the blight or find a way to catalyze air from seawater or something in the first place).
"Aha, but what of starvation?"
It's clear that the plants growing in Cooper Station don't have blight. Why not...idk, put ONeill cylinders in orbit around Earth and grow food in them and bring it to the surface?
And even if Earth is uninhabitable, there's still untold valuable resources on it, not just what can be extracted but what's already there and would be just sitting around after we'd left. Metals, alloys, minerals, it boggles the mind. So why go out to Jupiter, where there's 25 times less sunlight?
"We needed Humanity to be near the Wormhole so we could go to the Gargantua system."
Again - why?! We're off world now! We can lift apparently massive amounts of material with no effort, we now apparently control gravity! Do you know what that does to the cosmic equation? Let's colonize, IDK, the MOON. We can stay in the Earth/Luna system, keep tapping the Earth for its resources (if we even have to leave at all: remember, we're now growing food that isn't contaminated!), move to the Moon, and for water? We just moved an Oneill cylinder out to Jupiter, how about we chop up some icy moons and drop those on THE Moon and then we've got the water we need?
But no let's plan on moving humanity to possibly another galaxy altogether and and park ourselves in orbit around one of the most nightmarishly destructive things in all of reality.
I love Interstellar and the Black Hole physics might make sense but holy lol does that plot have an Einstein-Rosen bridge sized hole in it.
