BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him.
Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible.
The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.”
Per NYT:
“The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.”

If anyone believes this nonsense, here are the facts he is counting on you not knowing.
The deal did not end Iran's nuclear program. It rented a pause. Iran kept its centrifuges, kept Fordow buried in a mountain, kept enriching to 3.67%, and the key restrictions came with expiration dates. The sunset clauses began lifting in 2025. Obama's own answer at the time was that breakout time "would have shrunk almost down to zero" as the deal expired. His deal scheduled the problem for his successors.
The regime lied its way into the deal. The JCPOA was premised on Iran coming clean about past weapons work. In 2018 Israel pulled Iran's own nuclear archive out of a Tehran warehouse: tens of thousands of documents on the Amad Project, a crash program to build nuclear weapons, preserved and hidden while Iran certified it had no such program. The IAEA later found uranium traces at undeclared sites Iran never explained.
The deal paid for terror. Sanctions relief unfroze roughly $100 billion and the US delivered $1.7 billion in cash. That money flowed to the IRGC, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. Diplomacy with a regime at war with you is financing, not peace.
And the result? By 2025 Iran was enriching to 60%, a short technical step from weapons grade, with enough material for multiple bombs and the IAEA declaring it in violation of its obligations. That is what required military force this year. Iran marched to the threshold under the deal's cover and after it.
"I didn't have to fire a missile" is true. He handed the regime money, legitimacy, and a timetable, and left the missiles to be fired a decade later by someone else. Appeasing a dictatorship doesn't buy peace. It buys the dictatorship time.
So HMP took millions from a Billionaire Epstein associate and used that money to pay for ads attacking Republicans for "connections" to Epstein associates.
Nothing to see here, please move along.

Strange, if not ironic, that HMP’s largest donor is a billionaire listed in the Epstein files.
HMP's top 10 donors last quarter:
1) Reid Hoffman: $8.5M
2) Economic Opportunity Fund: $5M
3) The PAC for America’s Future: $4M
4) National Association of Realtors Congressional Fund: $3M
5) Rory Gates: $2.5M
6) UA Political Issues Fund:: $2M
7) Working for Working Americans: $2M
8) NEA Advocacy Fund: $1.5M
9) Lincoln Robinson: $1.4M

NYP: Super PAC Propping Up “Decoy Dan” Sullivan in Alaska
A mysterious super PAC propping up retired teacher Dan J. Sullivan in Alaska’s closely watched Senate race is funded by progressive donors, new financial disclosures reveal
Dan J. Sullivan, aka “Decoy Dan,” shares the same first and last name as incumbent Sen. Dan S. Sullivan (R-AK) and is listed on the ballot as a Republican despite voting against Donald Trump in each of the past three presidential elections.

I know I'm old and in "off my lawn" territory but officiating in the NFL and college is getting appreciably worse year after year....and technology doesn't seem to be helping.

Maybe @DavidJollyFL can wear a secret camera into Florida Democrat HQ, get some undercover footage of their fundraising operation, then whore himself out to 60 Minutes with said footage to whine about fundraising before fundraising off the segment, again.
With (apparently) ~$50 million in real payroll coming off the books.
Paul Toboni still refuses to commit to any spending for 2027 and beyond.
Buckle up.

To sum up the defense: “yes he took the money. From a contractor. On video and a wire. But he didn’t actually influence anything as an elected official. After taking the money. On video. From a contractor. To influence policy.”
Quite the redemption.
D.C. Councilmember Trayon White spoke after a judge declared a mistrial in his federal bribery case, saying he feels “redeemed again” after what he called one of the hardest two years of his life.

The fact that the #Commanders can't build off of this special win and the fan base being back today, because they have to go to London for a home game, just stinks.
At least one player that I talked to was not happy about it. Long flight, everything is disjointed.
For a marketing trip. Sorry. @team980

Call me old fashioned, but for my entire life a women being pregnant has been a solely and uniquely binary question. For both women….and men.
And I really don’t think that’s changing, regardless of what the New Yorker or anyone else says.
Pregnancy tests draw a misleading, somewhat arbitrary, binary between a state of being pregnant and not being pregnant. You can be kind of pregnant, a little bit pregnant, or almost pregnant, or maybe pregnant, and still test positive for pregnancy. Pregnancy tests, particularly at-home urine tests, capture a moment in time at which an embryo has implanted and is interfacing with the uterus in some way. “We define how we understand the beginning of pregnancy based on this snapshot, but such a freeze-frame contains limited information,” Apoorva Tadepalli writes. Wonder what that reporter would be saying if she was on the airplane that…. (checks notes) emergency landed in a lake? Let alone how she would report/talk about it.
(Actually I don’t really wonder)
Replying to @RantyAmyCurtis
A reporter for @journalsentinel — @hopekarnopp — spent her Saturday night/Sunday morning fact checking the depth of the lake.
She *minimized* what happened to Tiffany and his pilot.
Why?
Because Tiffany is a Republican.

Twenty-five years later, some moments are impossible to forget.
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of September 11th, former President George W. Bush visited FDNY Ladder Company 3 on Thursday—the firehouse whose apparatus was so badly damaged in the collapse of the World Trade Center that it never returned to service. Today, that rig is preserved at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
President Bush spoke with members about the days and years that followed the attacks.
The bullhorn speech at Ground Zero. That unforgettable first pitch at Yankee Stadium. And the people who stood together when our city—and our country—needed them most.
A quarter-century has passed, but the memories remain. #NeverForget
