Happy Birthday @Rocking3M out of Dallas, Texas; He is credited with almost single-handedly reviving the cowboy-song genre—his 1990 album, “Cowboy Songs” was the first cowboy music album to achieve Gold status since 1959, sparking a series of successful Western-themed projects—his most enduring legacy in popular music is the platinum single “Wildfire “ ( 1975), a haunting ballad about a ghost horse that peaked at #3 on the @billboardcharts —other major hits include “Carolina in the Pines”, “What’s Forever For”, and “Geronimo’s Cadillac.”; Member Texas Country Music Hall of Fame ( 2009); 81 Today…..

💙 Song in the Storm was a sold-out celebration of music, heart, and Texas spirit. @LyleLovett, @Rocking3M, and special guest @JimmieVaughan lit up the Paramount -- all in support of Central Texas flood relief.
Huge thanks to everyone who showed up for such a powerful cause.

I started as a songwriter in Texas who came to Nashville chasing a publishing deal. Never imagined I’d have a career where I get to record some of the greatest songs in country music and win Song of the Year at the @ACMawards.
Last night's win for "Dirt Cheap" alongside @imjoshphillips was a dream come true. Thank y'all for the support.

Michael Martin Murphy’s “Wildfire” is the best song about a young girl who dies in a blizzard while looking for her pony. In over 50 years since its release no one has written a better dead girl-pony-blizzard song. Way to go, @Rocking3M
