I’m trying not to think about the scenes I cut that e have been good and explain things that are not explained now because I didn’t want to have a lore dump on chapter 6, for example.

It’s part of the process. Perfection is the opposite of good. It’s okay that scene in the end it’s not perfect because I’m still improving the manuscript. I have in my Issue List things I can fix later, but I’m not acting on it yet. I’m trying not to fidget.

Now that my beta readers have had my manuscript for two days, I keep thinking: ahhh this X scene could have been better. This scene needed Y and I didn’t do it. This Z sex scene was not ready. But I won’t touch the MS until the deadline because…
