Look I'm honestly not trying to dunk on Trevor Noah but this is such an unmarried childless guy answer.
I will admit that guys do like to have a "third thing".
We like to DO things together. But that doesn't keep us from having deeper conversations.
Some of the deepest conversations I've had are in the middle of a run, a hike, or hanging out with our kids.
You're either a person who can have a deep conversation, or it's something you're still growing in to—regardless of the activity.
The Belgian duo does it again:
Merijn Geerts and Ivo Steyaert have done it again. 🇧🇪
The Belgian duo each ran 124 laps (516.7 miles / 831.5 km) at the 2026 Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Team Championships to set a new backyard ultra record, their third together. bit.ly/4yHEFid

Quest patient data got hacked.
Prepare for this type of thing to happen daily or weekly now that every idiot has the ability to find exploits in our fragile systems.
Brought to you by the same guys who are trying to live forever.

21 years ago I named "Reddit" and everyone said it was a horrible name, but I insisted one day people would say "I read it on reddit" and used my CEO-privilege to overrule everyone + kept the name. Now the company twitter account (unbeknownst to them) is making the joke. Heh.

I regret to inform you that a lot of problems in life are solved by waking up early and working out.

This is unlike any sports science book you've ever read, because it's much more than a sports science book. I hope you have fun reading about the culture and humans behind the Norwegian method, and learn a bit of sports science along the way.

I don’t think people really appreciate just how hard it is to read books and exercise regularly in your 40s with kids and a career.
Being a Jacked Nerd in your 20s is important, but not impressive.
Being a Jacked Nerd in your 40s is impressive. It showcases commitment, intention, and the daily decision to invest in your mind and your body.
"One night of sleep deprivation makes the amygdala, your alarm system, about 60% more reactive, and weakens the brake’s connection to it. A tired brain feels everything louder and controls it less."
“It’s a brain circuit” is the new “I have no willpower.”
Both are stories that end the same way: nothing changes.
Huberman makes a point most people skip. Knowing why you crave something doesn’t make the craving go away. What changes it is training.
Cold water, a brutal workout, a sauna that’s uncomfortably hot. The tool doesn’t matter. Each one floods you with adrenaline, and that gives you a safe place to practice staying in charge while your body is panicking.
The basics work the same way. Morning sunlight, real connection, and above all sleep. When you’re well rested, the front of your brain has more power to stop an impulse before it turns into a decision you regret.
None of this is a hack. It’s the slow work of becoming harder to hijack.
Impulse control runs through the prefrontal cortex, the brain’s brake pedal. One night of sleep deprivation makes the amygdala, your alarm system, about 60% more reactive, and weakens the brake’s connection to it. A tired brain feels everything louder and controls it less.

Quick, easy run after work. It's starting to get dark early, so I did 2.1 miles. Nice, easy pace and no flare up with the stenosis.
Happy Friday, eve !

The Belgian duo has stopped.
They completed 124 Yards.
124 hours of running.
Ignored 124 chances to quit.
A new World Record. 👏

Andrew Huberman does 100 back extensions a week, and his nagging injuries disappeared.
He says the small, boring exercises are what keep you strong into your 50s.
His 8 staples for staying strong every week:
1) 5 sets of 5 hanging knee raises for your core

Eating enough calories doesn't mean you're fueled.
Endurance athletes ate the same calories and protein on two diets: 607 vs 117 g carbs/day.
After 4 days of low carb, most hormones held. But a marker of bone breakdown went up, and effort + cycling efficient got worse.
