I’ve had a little sneak peek at some of @cleanairwhereuk’s indoor air quality training materials & they’re excellent.
Once schools understand the benefits of clean indoor air, it becomes a no-brainer: ▪️healthier staff & pupils
▪️reduced illness absence
▪️improved concentration

It was great to see the Clean Air 4 Kids campaign showcased in Baroness Linforth’s speech.
@CleanAir4KidsUK was set up by @erbrooker after her son was diagnosed with cancer & she wanted to ensure he’d be in the healthiest possible environment at school.

Following govt's bluster yesterday about bathing waters a quick reminder as of this morning every single stretch of river in England designated as a bathing spot has a "Do not swim" advisory posted.
You have been warned.
Look at this below @bphillipsonMP @wesstreeting @bbchealth @Peston @BBCNewsnight @RachelReevesMP @SteveReedMP Surely the best way to reduce transmission of illness round families. @MayorofLondon has started implementation in some areas. Why don’t you implement in all Schools?

It’s concerning to realise how much was known about the importance of ventilation to reduce Covid transmission, even back in 2021.
And yet, 3 years later, there has STILL been no concerted effort to improve ventilation in the major hubs of transmission: SCHOOLS & HOSPITALS.

The Government should be investing properly in treatments for Long COVID.
Far too many people left in this situation: read Darren's story. 👇🏼
This time last year I lost my job due to #LongCovid.
Unsurprisingly it was an extremely difficult time.
I'd worked for the NHS as a Learning Disability Nurse for 20yrs.
Long Covid ended my career.
It also drastically altered my life.
Some reflections 👇
Please in 2026 start improving air filtration in Schools @bphillipsonMP @wesstreeting @RachelReevesMP @SteveReedMP and please urge use of air purifiers @BBCHughPym @Channel4News @mrjamesob @BBCRosAtkins

“Staff will be doing all they can to keep the NHS running and to protect patients.”
Doing all they can to *protect* patients?
Really?
Will they all be wearing FFP3 masks to avoid getting infected & then spreading that infection to clinically vulnerable patients then, Wes?

The BBC report included a glimpse into life on the front lines at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Unbelievably, despite being inundated with flu patients, there was barely a facemask in sight… not even a surgical mask… even when in close contact with confirmed flu patients.

This is a scandal. For goodness sake, please can high profile scientists, journalists and those working in the NHS call out this stupidity?

Would help if proper mitigations were implemented in hospitals and schools @wesstreeting @bphillipsonMP @SteveReedMP
