Andrew Neil totally demolishes the case for rejoining the EU should Labour decide to go down that route.
Re: all the private school closures because of VAT and business rates relief such that state schools are more heavily burdened; Isn't it the job of any govt to provide the economic environment to help people get OFF state dependence in every respect, not onto it? Labour seem to think everyone should be state dependent, i.e. controlled.

And he's just closing down their own gas and oil industry?
So they'll have to buy it from us, rather than use their own?
We win! We get the profit on sales AND all the taxes too!
Champagne all round!'

Britain has the highest industrial electricity prices in the world.
Factories in chemicals, glass and metals are closing week by week.
Ed Miliband is locking in offshore wind at £117 per MWh while the market price is £72, plus extra costs for backup and turning farms off.
The Climate Change Act forces these higher prices even as it fails to cut global emissions.
If the result is more imports from coal-powered nations, what climate benefit remains?

So we pay £3,000,000,000 a year to the EU. For them to make up rules that cost us £3,000,000,000 a year to obey.
That's a net national loss of £6,000,000,000 per year
For absolutely nothing!
What utter nutcase in government thinks this is remotely a good idea?
Sack them! Today!
Even small local bakeries that never trade with the EU will have to follow EU rules on ingredients, packaging, and nutritional information. Industry compliance costs are estimated at £2 to £3 billion. They will also face additional compliance costs every time the EU changes its rules.
UK taxpayers will also have to pay the EU for its policy work to create and enforce these rules on UK firms. This could be up to £3 billion a year, every year.

*sigh* because the British press hasn’t spelt this out I will. (Is it spelled or spelt?)
Anyway … The EU believes its law takes precedence over Poland’s sovereign law (even its Constitution, wherever EU law applies)
Poland’s Constitution says it is the SUPREME law of the country (I agree)
Now Donald Tusk’s is battling his own people over control of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, with police on the streets and the court’s leadership removed (because they disagreed with the EU’s position).
the European Commission is, of course, backing Tusk on the appointment of judges. ( as long as they agree with the EU position)
Brussels insists the Tribunal must respect rulings of the EU Court of Justice (because they believe their rule is superior to sovereignty)
AND They dare to call this “defending the rule of law”
And THIS ladies and gentlemen is why I voted to leave. You’re welcome 🔥

As unelected UK PM Burnham and his fellow puppets tell the UK we need to be back in the EU - perhaps this is why ?
The state of ‘democracy’ in the EU today.
You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland).
You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission."

Prezydent Karol Nawrocki podczas posiedzenia Rady Bezpieczeństwa Narodowego 3 listopada 2026 r., skierował mocne słowa do premiera Donalda Tuska.
A więc pan premier Donald Tusk.”
„Pan premier niszczy wizerunek Polski za granicą. To też jest przedmiotem dyskusji publicznej w różnych częściach świata. Odstrasza inwestorów, podkopuje fundamenty więzi społecznych i społecznego zaufania.”
„Gdy dług osiąga rekordowe i zagrażające stabilności państwa poziomy, decyduje się pan premier w przeddzień święta siłowo przejąć niezawisłą instytucję państwa polskiego.

🚨🇵🇱Situation in Warsaw, Poland, has reached a boiling point as hundreds of police officers surround the city center, preparing for a possible state of emergency.
The latest reports from the ground reveal that increasing numbers of police reinforcements are being brought into Warsaw.
On-the-ground reporters say pro-EU Prime Minister Donald Tusk may declare a state of emergency or martial law tonight, starting at midnight.
Journalists have obtained verified information about the evacuation of staff from the Prime Minister's Office, a building located right next to the Constitutional Tribunal.
Meanwhile, a police vehicle equipped with an LRAD system has been spotted outside the Tribunal, raising questions about the possible planned use of acoustic weapons.
EU and Tusk have effectively declared war on Poland. In normal countries, what the Polish prime minister is doing would be considered HIGH TREASON.
Full support for the patriotic and Christian people of Poland. May God protect you!

⚠️And there it is … almost complete surrender of Britain back into the EU as a subservient rule taker.
Andy Burnham has NO MANDATE to do this.
Under the proposed agreement:
▪️ Britain forced to follow ALL future EU rules on food, farming, pesticides and animal welfare.
▪️ rules would apply even to British businesses that NEVER trade with the EU.
▪️ Brussels would make the rules. Britain would have NO vote on them.
▪️ The European Court of Justice would have ultimate authority over questions of EU law covered by the agreement.
▪️ Britain would align parts of its carbon trading system with the EU, restricting our ability to make independent energy policy. And increasing our prices.
▪️ youth mobility scheme would allow Europeans to live and work here, even though we have nearly 1 million unemployed youths.
▪️ government is reportedly spending up to £450 MILLION a year subsidising cheaper university fees for EU students!
AND WTF??? … British taxpayers also have to PAY towards administering arrangements under which Brussels makes rules we must follow.
He just handed Britain back to the EU on a plate ⚠️
