Every day I'm off.
The older I get, the more I have days when I just can’t be bloody bothered. Don’t want to go out. Don’t want to answer the phone. Don’t want to hear anyone’s problems. Just want a decent cup of tea, a comfortable chair and the world to leave me the fuck alone. Anyone else, or have I finally turned into Victor Meldrew?

To any minister claiming the country is united behind more funding for Ukraine: kindly deduct me from the headcount. A roomful of MPs nodding at one another is not a national opinion poll. You cannot volunteer my agreement simply because you’ve already volunteered my taxes. My position is straightforward: no more British taxpayer money for Ukraine. I want that spending directed towards British people. The existing military commitment alone is £3 billion a year. Yet ask for meaningful improvements at home and we’re invited to appreciate the complexity of public finances. Difficult choices. Limited resources. Competing priorities. I understand competing priorities perfectly. I’m telling you which country I think should come first. Britain. I want accessible healthcare, decent roads, affordable energy, proper support for our veterans and public services that justify what we pay for them. Perhaps British patients could hold an international summit. Apparently a waiting room needs flags and a joint communiqué before anyone becomes terribly decisive. And could we have some of that “for as long as it takes” determination applied to fixing this country? The people paying for these commitments deserve more than a lecture about why their objections are inconvenient. Ministers are entitled to argue for continued funding. They should explain the costs, defend the priorities and acknowledge that people disagree. What they should stop doing is announcing national agreement from the comfort of a chamber whose members have already agreed with themselves. You may have Westminster’s applause. You do not have mine. Yours, suggesting the British government develop an interest in Britain, A Gentleman from the Old School. 🎩

Orwellian size gaslighting. Nobody proof read the tweet.
Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine poses a serious threat to UK prosperity and security. That's why this Budget is providing over £10bn in additional support to Ukraine.

Labour : you can now enjoy 1p off a box of coco pops breakfast cereal we shipped in from Cuba. But you can no longer buy 1 and get 1 free on coco pops boxes at Asda as they are on our unhealthy list.

On the left are some of the 100 items Labour class as " essentials " and LOWERING the cost. Last week Labour said breakfast cereals and sweets & chocolate are classed as unhealthy & will ban shops selling them as buy 1 get 1 free.

Last week these items were classed as unhealthy by Labour. This week they are now classed as essential.

Tariffs cut on boiled sweets & chocolate wafers this week to help people save ££. Last week multi buy deals banned in supermarkets on breakfast cereals to stop obesity / tooth decay. Twilight zone

PM Andy doesn't want you to have a debt collection letter on your doormat. Enforcing a £100 fine for loud music on a bus requires the provision of a name & address. Guess he doesn't know they don't give their own but someone else's details for that fine to drop on the doormat.
