REGIONAL LEADERSHIP THROUGH ADVANCING PEACE AND COOPERATION THROUGH SADC AND COMESA His Excellency President Cde Dr Mnangagwa’s message also highlights the importance of leadership that extends beyond national borders. While his primary responsibility is to the people of Zimbabwe, his regional and continental engagements reflect the wider responsibilities of African leaders in promoting peace, economic integration and collective progress. President Mnangagwa’s engagement with regional partners is therefore significant because Zimbabwe’s prosperity is closely connected to the stability and economic performance of its neighbours. A peaceful Mozambique, a stable Southern African region and stronger regional economic institutions create opportunities for Zimbabwean trade, investment, transport and industrial development. His tribute to the late President Machel reinforces the principle that African leaders must work collectively to protect the gains of independence and ensure that the sacrifices of the founding generation translate into tangible benefits for present and future generations. #EDWORKS #EDtheGameChanger #NDS2

Chadzamira, handed over eight tonnes of rice donated by First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa to the Provincial Civil Protection Unit for distribution to families affected by the October 5 hailstorm. Minister Chadzamira thanked the First Lady and called on individuals, businesses and other stakeholders to assist affected families. He said the Government had extended the distribution of food hampers and tents across all 10 wards in Masvingo City, prioritising vulnerable groups, including the elderly, people living with disabilities and child-headed families. He added that assessments were underway to determine damage to homes and facilitate compensation for affected families. More than 17,000 households were affected, with nearly 7,000 vulnerable households prioritised for assistance following President Emmerson Mnangagwa's declaration of the disaster as a State of Disaster.

IS MR MIND MUSOKERI ZIMBABWE’S NEXT WICKNELL CHIVAYO? As Zimbabwe continues to mourn the tragic loss of businessman and philanthropist Sir Wicknell Chivhayo, questions are naturally being asked about who will carry forward the spirit of giving that he became widely known for. Perhaps, quietly and away from the spotlight, a new name has already been emerging. From Chinhoyi in Mashonaland West, Mr Mind Musokeri is increasingly attracting attention, not through grand announcements, but through projects and acts of giving that are beginning to speak for themselves. A developer who has been in business for barely a year, Mr Musokeri has already made a remarkable start to his journey. His philanthropy has extended across communities, with a particular focus on young people, war veterans, public institutions and families affected by historic events. Recently, he donated 500 residential stands to youths in Mash West and a further 1,000 stands to war veterans. His explanation was simple: the war veterans fought for the land, and it is now time to give back to them. For the youths, the motivation was equally clear. Many young Zimbabweans cannot afford to purchase residential stands, and Musokeri said his contribution was intended to complement President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Housing for All vision and the national target of expanding access to housing. But the stands are not only part of the story. In Siakobvu, Mashonaland West, Musokeri constructed and renovated a police station "Siakobvu Police Station" at no cost to the Government, bringing the facility to a standard that has attracted considerable attention. At Chinhoyi Central Police Station, he has also constructed a clinic for free, contributing to the welfare of police officers and their families. His philanthropy has also reached the families and beneficiaries connected to the Chinhoyi Seven Heroes, who perished in 1966. By donating residential stands to their beneficiaries, Mr Musokeri has extended his giving beyond contemporary needs into the preservation of the memory and sacrifices of those who came before. It is a practical expression of the principle of leaving no one behind. And as Mash West prepares to host the forthcoming ZANU PF National People’s Conference in Chinhoyi, Mr Musokeri has also stepped forward to support the event by providing free accommodation in upmarket gated houses for Central Committee members and Ministers. Whether one describes him as the next Wicknell Chivayo is, of course, a matter of perspective. Every philanthropist has a different journey, personality and contribution. But there is an important similarity. Both demonstrate that business success can be transformed into social impact. Sir Wicknell Chivayo showed Zimbabweans the scale that private philanthropy can reach. Musokeri now appears to be following a similar path, quietly building a business while using part of what he has gained to support communities and institutions. And perhaps this is where President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s broader vision deserves recognition: creating an environment in which Zimbabwean entrepreneurs, developers and businesspeople can grow, prosper and ultimately plough back into the communities around them. Zimbabwe needs more successful people who see wealth not merely as a personal destination, but as an opportunity to build, empower and uplift others. If Mr Musokeri continues on this trajectory, Mashonaland West may well be witnessing the emergence of another home-grown philanthropist whose impact could extend far beyond Mash West. The story is still being written. But one thing is already becoming clear: Sometimes the next great giver does not arrive with an announcement. They emerge quietly, one project, one family, one community and one act of generosity at a time. @edmnangagwa @ZANUPF_Official @ZanuPFMabvuku @HonSakupwanyaK @dereckgoto – at Zimbabwe

His Excellency the President @edmnangagwa opens the Fourth Session of the Tenth Parliament delivering the State of the Nation Address that declared Zimbabwe open for business. Dr Mnangagwa said macro-economic stability has been sustained, with inflation now in single digits since January and foreign inflows of over ten billion US dollars in the first half of this year. He hailed that agriculture drove growth, contributing to an 8.3 percent GDP growth, while a Six Pillar Plan is in place to protect communities from projected low rainfall next season. He cautioned communities to brace up for a difficult farming season because of the El Niño effect. In energy, the President said load shedding is now a thing of the past. He also said major roads including Harare-Beitbridge are nearing completion, airports are being upgraded, and new railway links are being built with Zambia, Mozambique and Botswana. On the world stage, he advised that Zimbabwe will assume the United Nations Security Council Non-Permanent Seat in January 2027, and will host the COMESA Heads of State Summit on 21st October where it will take over the Chairmanship. Dr Mnangagwa also outlined a busy legislative programme of 40 Bills and Treaties to align laws with the Constitution and boost justice delivery, economic competitiveness and social welfare. He closed by urging all Zimbabweans to build the nation together, saying forward ever, backward never. Nyika inovakwa, inotongwa, inonamatirwa nevene vayo / Ilizwe lakhiwa libuswe, likhulekelwe ngabanikazi balo, said the President. God bless you. God bless Zimbabwe
